I had the same problem, we had broken up for a month and a half and still he'd want to get together and just harass me.
It's been 4 months and have tried every way i can to avoid him, and it seems to be working.
You have to tell him that you can't and don't want to be in a relationship over and over again, because they don't work the first time.
Good luck.

If he truely loves you, theirs only 1 way for him to stop loving you. Grab a gun, put it to his temple, shoot, when he falls put it to his forehead and shoot two more times. By this point he should be dead.
True love will not go away, even if you are hurt. You can put it to the back of your mind after a long period, but you never forget. I am divorced, and have been for about 6 years now, i do not see my x-wife anymore, i think i've seen her once in the last 4 years. I have moved on, and am dating someone now. But i still remember, and i still think of the love we once had. It's not an issue, or me wanting her, but it's still their. I know i'd still die for her, but i understand our relationship is over (so to speak). Proof that love lives years after the relationship does. So break it off, make it permanant, because you can't stop him from loving you. You can just hurt his feeling till the point he realizes that your not worth it. And he'll still have some love for you.

You can't stop him from loving you. You need to be strong and don;t take him back out of pity because it would just make things worse. Just be his friend and keep telling him that this is all you can ever be to him. If he can't except this then tell him you can't be his friend or see him anymore. You have to give him time and he needs to give you space. Good luck.

This is kind of unusual question, but since you had asked. I would say be with another guy. And stop show him that you do still care about the relationship.

well first cut off sex thats a must. Then go out of your way to act over jealous of everything he does. Or you could talk to him and just hope he's an adult enough to realize its not going to work out. If you don't want to hurt him don't prolong a relationship thats going to end anyway.

only way to do that is to, guess what? hurt him again.. step all over him, just be a rotten person to him, then ditch him.. im sure you'll have no problem tearing him a new butthole by the way you described your situation.
