Trust me ladies, if we're thinking anything at all, it's probably about 1/00th as complicated as you beieve it is :)
But the real question is, whay do you bother at all?

Actually, it just struck me that this question is a perfect example of the difference: What most guys do,—what I'm trying to do here—is figure out WOMEN (as a group) It seems what women are usually tring to do is figure out A guy (individual)
Obviously we both do both, and everybody's different, but that seems to be the trend.

I hope all the young females on here see this...I have never wondered what guys think, why waste the energy??? Some females are so emotional and need validation...does he love me? how do i know if he loves me? all that crude.
Guys and some of us females could careless what someones thinking...actions speak louder than words...

Disagree with you, all the men I know spend alot of time trying to work out women. As a female, I could not care less what a man is thinking, would not waste my time

I'm a guy and I do the same thing. I dont think its a man/woman thing.. I think its a people thing. People are just different. I do it partly out of curiosity and partly because I want to know this person (and how they think) better. But mainly i do it when i worry shes thinking about someone else

It's a test of intentions. We want to know what you are trying to get from us -- our heart or our body? Of course, for most men, that may only be one and the same :)
Another answer is, because we are also manipulative by nature. We try to figure out what you're thinking so we can manipulate you into giving us what we want from you. Harhar!

Cos we WANT TO KNOW... We want to justify a mans actions, and why they do the things they do...
I was still thinking about what my ex was thinking about until several weeks ago when I realised that it all just didn't matter anymore, he has a few screws loose in his head so there would be no way that I would be able to explain why he did the things he did to me, like cheat, and abuse me...

Women spend a lot of time because we're trying to figure out what men want, what you are feeling, your emotion, and you interest.
Men keep themselves to bottle up and we want to know why??

I figured that when we women agonize about what a man is thinking, 90% of the time, they are thinking of something silly such as a football game, etc. But I do think of what my bf is thinking . men dont analyse as much as we women.
