I've got a smsung X830 now and it's fab, so dinky and cool. The first mobile I ever had was a Sagem something or other which looks terrible compared to what I have now but at least it was better than the phillips savvy that all my friedns had ( I had a nicer phone because my mum wouldn't let me get on at the same time as all my friends so they all got a savvy cos it was the only thing that they could afford and by the time I was allowed to have one there were lots more affordable phones.) I've also got a nokia something, not sure what it is but it's very basic and pretty small, it doesn't flip or have WAP or anything but the battery last for about 2 weeks.

I had a Nokia 1610 for my first mobile - still got it in the cupboard somewhere as it's an antique now! Shame it takes the big sim cards as it'd be a giggle using that old brick now!

I've currently got a Nokia 6280 and it is RUBBISH! Keeps going wrong and the front bit is hanging off by a wire (it broke in the first week I had it but I'm not insured!).

I'd probably say the best phone I had was the first one - it still works when you charge it and switch it on - which I can't say for any of the others! The more bells and whistles you get, the more can go wrong I guess!

Mind you, for my work mobile I have a blackberry and they really are great. I used to have one of the big fat ones but my boss has just upgraded mine to a Pearl and it's really cute and functional. They're fantastic on battery life too and you can get emails etc everything you need on them. Much better than any smart phones out there.

I have used Philips Xenium 9@9, Nokia 8250, Nokia 6230, Sony Ericsson K800i, and just a week ago Nokia 6288. If you like a camera for still pictures, K800 is certainly the best. However it need me to 'adjust' from a Nokia user for a long time to use Sony Ericsson's. Many people in Singapore is using K800i, but I also see many Sony Ericcssons (not only the K800i).

I started off with the Nokia 3310 that *everyone* had five years ago. It was an excellent, if basic, phone. My husband has one for work, and even after five years of being carried around in his pocket, it still works just fine.

Then I got a cast-off Sony flip-phone (can't remember the code). Again, a nice phone, but basic.

I decided I wanted MORE POWER and I got a Sanyo S750i, which was a mistake. While it was stuffed full of features, it was big and bulky and had a huge ugly lump of an aerial.

So now I have a nice neat little Samsung E900, and apart from the damned touch pads, it's the best phone I've ever had.

first mobile was a bag phone (looked like a small suitcase) back in the 80's then got a handheld that looked like a giant walkie talkie and the best brand of phone was a nokia but im starting to like the kyocera phones. I have a kyocera excursion and a vox 8500 (smallest phone i've ever had) and i want to get a kyocera slider so i can listen to mp3's but they need to make a phone that you can listen to your mp3's with your bluetooth headset that would be awesome!!!

Ive got a Nokia 6111 in cute pink. Its nice, but not very good as an MP3 player as it can only hold about 3 songs!

do you agree that the older style mobiles lasted alot longer, you could drop em,throw up against a wall kick em and they would still work fine the newer ones have alot more tecnology but the slightest knock and its broke and expensive to fix i have a nokia6111 i wouldnt recommend,my first was an 02 little black one cant remember the name but it only cost 5p a text.
