I think you need to look at it like this...

What if you found out your bf or gf was doing that same thing. How would you feel? To me, it is not cheating but it is the same as flirting. It is a step in the wrong direction if you want the relationship you are in to grow. When you start talking to someone else (like sexy emails) you start things that can lead to something bad. Even if not with that person... it gets you thinking that you can expand your idea of what is OK. Eventually your view of what is acceptable will include things it does not right now.

If you are doing this, it might have started innocently or not really fully realizing the harm it could cause. So, if you want my advice, I think it is a bad idea and if you are doing this, I think you should stop before you cause irreversible damage to your relationship.

Wow. What a bunch of prudes. If these people think emailing is cheating...good lord~ what do they think of instant messaging?

I try not to chat with anyone who is close by. I don't want to run into that person and feel like an idiot.

I've made lots of friends on Yahoo. Some want to talk a little flirty...some just want to be friends. Either way...it makes me happy, and my husband knows all about it. Been married for 6 days now. Yay!!

Lying to and betraying your partner? Yes,I see it as cheating. It starts off with sexy emails-then you decide a little text fun would be okay...next thing you know, you think,'Meeting up just the once won't hurt!' It's a downward spiral. And if your partner finds out about about these sexy emails (these things do come out in the end) they will question you and your every move as you will have shattered their trust in you. Sound good to you?

Yup! Why would you wish to share intimate time with strangers anyway? Since ur in relationship - rather send him/her naughty mail during day and get him/her ready for a passionate evening. Works much better and you don't have any guilt - just good fun with the one you chose as special to you.

I personally would see it as cheating.. but it could also be a warning sign saying that you arent completely content with your partner. Dig a little deeper to find your reason for doing it in the first place

The best way to answer yourself that question is with a question. If your significant other was doing that would you feel cheated?
