Ghost have been seen in the day light and in light. They prefer the dark time perhaps cause most people aren't moving around and that they are easier to see in the dark.
Usually the ones that are seen during daylight either just died, and or they don't realize they are dead at the time.
I have seen one in the Hospital at night, although, there was some light in the hall. Out of the ones I have seen that one got me pretty Good. perhaps it was my fault stepping in front of it like that coming out of an exam room.

You will not find ghosts in those places because they are afraid of seeing ghosts...it's a little known fact that ghosts scare the **** out of one annother
