Well I don't think that's quite possible unless you fast...and that's not too safe.
What I would suggest is buying a body slimmer.
take a look at spanx.com.
They're products are wonders when you need a quick fix :)

This is a bad idea. You will most likely gain all of that weight back and more when you return from the event...and its not healthy on your body, either. You might be able to lose 3-5 lbs safely by eating healthy...but even if you starved yourself for the full 2 weeks, there's no way you can lose 10 lbs and still be energetic enough to go anywhere except the emergency room.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing impurities from your body. You get impurities from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The impurites get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the impurites. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck! You cannot do it healthily - so you need to establish how important your health is compared with the event. Look at a pound of butter and imagine trying to get rid of one of those from your body every day!
Without knowing how heavy you are and how fit you are, a clear answer to your question is difficult.
If you are very overweight, then significantly reducing your food intake and replacing foods with high-satiety and low fat options will cause you to lose quite a bit fairly quickly. Porrige (half a cup of oats to one cup of milk, boiled for one minute) is excellent high-satiety food, while low-calorie natural bifidus yoghurt is excellent for reducing hunger and is very healthy.
If you are only 10-15 pounds overweight and fit, then reduce your food intake slightly and do 1000 calories-worth of low impact exercise every day (this takes time but you are setting yourself a very difficult target). The food options listed above should also help you quite a bit.
And be careful after the event, slow down your weight loss, slow weight loss is more sustainable and durable than fast weight loss.
Good luck :-)

You would need to fast for 2 solid weeks AND do some vigorous excercise for more than an hour each day.
Or you could eat normally and perform a vigorous activity for several hours each day.
Or you could find a balance between the two.
In any case, losing that much weight so fast is EXTREMELY unhealthy. DO NOT even try.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

There are tons of supplements these days that boost energy and matabolism to help burn fat. In my opinion, one of the best is a new supplement called the apple patch. You dont have to consume any tablets or substances, its just a simple patch that you wear under your clothing and the vitamins and energy boosters absorb into your body. A freind of mine lost 20lbs in 3 weeks with little or no exercise just by wearing the damn thing! Check it out! http://applepatchdiet.com/da22604
