it depends on if you are only doing this exercise through out the day. If you workout , you should jump rope for 20 minutes and save your energy for workouts. If you do not workout it is ok to jump rope for 40 minutes.

Jumping rope is a workout that could cause muscular spasm if u're nt well warmed up or if u over do ur maximum pace coz this would make ur muscles go into sudden burning of energy without getting enough oxygen into ur blood. If u are an advanced athelete in this workout i.e. u have increased ur pace gradually u can do that 40 mins pace once a day. Meanwhile if u're just a week old in d domain u should divide ur workout to two sessions & workout day on n day off. This is essential if u are a beginner n wish to grow ur muscles as u shape up with causing muscular spasm or rupture. Remember warming up, proper breathing, & adequate rest will do d trick. Good luck!!!

40 minutes one time a day is better...if you can keep going without stopping too often. If you're more or less out of shape and will need to take frequent breaks, then opt for the 2 twenty minute sessions....but those can easily be increased to 2 twenty-five minute sessions instead...which makes up for taking a long break in between the sessions.

1 x 40 minutes/day. 20 minutes is not enough time to get your heart rate up high enough. A slow, steady 40 minutes is better. Don't forget your pre- and post workout stretches.

I would say 40 minutes 1 time a day only because it seems that would build endurance, however it probably doesn't matter.

20x2; it gives you more time to regain your energy, but you will get fit faster by doing 40 minutes a day. I don't plan to do it though LOL
