By definition, terrorism is/are those things that inspire fear, needless terror, abusing human rights.

All my life, I had religion stuffed down my throat.

While I was yet a baby, the screaming & hollering had me so afraid in church, the horrid noise, like he is madder than hell at me, what did I do wrong, why is he screaming at me?

Through teen years, I suffered severe depression & fear, almost dying of heart failure, afraid to go to sleep at times, for my dad would tell me...

Son, you don't want to die unsaved, who knows, Jesus could come back tonight! What if you die in your sleep, will you be prepared?

It made me afraid to work, go to college, anything, because, I was so afraid. I don't know how to be for sure if I am or not saved. It destroyed a life I could have had.

Are we all so terrible for being born so bad, I can't help that I was born human. I know no-one is perfect, but I onl yknow how to do the best I can.

Mom hurt me bad before, called me Satan because I was strong

"The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons."

This is the American Heritage Dictionary definition of terrorism. I would say that aside from the fact that it isn't unlawful, the rest of the definition fits with religion:
1. indoctrination = mild force
2. organized group = any church or religion
3. against people
4. with the intention of intimidating or coercing = why else threaten us with fire and brimstone?
5. for ideological reasons

Good point!

Oh dear. Look religion is not terrorism, mind you we may have been terrorised one way or another. Prayers morning noon night /church sundays. As for your mother calling you Satan that's hitting below the belt.
You are who you are and religion can not teach you that.
Your faith is what you believe first and foremost.
Heavens Parents can be your worst enemy.

we can pick our friends but we can't pick our parents.
Look some where along the line your parents may have had the same problem with theres. They are now taking it out on you.
Believe me your not bad and we were not all born bad.
As you get older and you have left the nest of your parents home Find a faith or religion that you believe, and go with it.
Life is hard enough without worrying about a faith or religion to follow.
follow your heart and enjoy the life you have without the added problem of been terrified of a religion. It will come too you in time.

Sounds like you go to one of those holiness churches. Your parents may have got into controlling behaviour with you that is not actually christian, but people are tempted into as they think the end justifies the means.
I hope they don't put you off Christ for good (although if you have believed, you will be saved and remain so despite being put off by the flawed representatives of Christ you have seen). There are some really good churches around, but I think that controlling attitude should have no place in a christian church. Try a church like the Vineyard - they are very laid back and never push I think, although they do make 'altar calls' etc. Anglican evangelical churches also aren't pushy in my experience.
You should certainly shun the control freak thing done to you as it is totally wrong. Avoid churches that behave in that way like the plague.

No, it shouldn't be, no religion in the world teaches terrorism, killing or abusing other's faith, religion tells you how to live the do's & dont's that is for the good of mankind, it's not necessary that what you believe is true, may be what you following or your parents followed is completely false, so you should go and find the right thing or the right religion that may answer your questions.
