I had a baby in december, got a period in january, then february, but havent got one for this month.. I am three weeks late.... I am not breatfeeding. Could this be due to my period not being regular due to childbirth??

Its different for every woman. It could be due to the childbirth. My daughter was born in 2005 and I have had a total of 5 periods since her birth. I am still breastfeeding her so that may have something to do with it. Are you sure you're not pregnant?

Our bodies are weird things, in my case, after the birth of my first child I didn't get my period until she was 11 months old, then after my second child, he was 15 months old before I got my period and with my last child, he was 11 months old before I finally got my period, then it was all over the place, basically coming when it wanted to and staying for way to long, it was driving me mad...I then went to the doctors and was informed that your body goes through alto of changes during and after pregnancy and sometimes things just don't go back to normal like we plan, so I asked to be put on the pill to regulate my periods.. Once I started taking the pill, the first two cycles where abit weird but after that, they have been regular like clock work..

As the others have said, it's diff. for everyone. My period started about a year after my son was born and i breastfed him till he was almost 2. It's somewhat of a myth that you can't get preg. when you're breastfeeding, but it does inhibit the chances. Just don't ever use that as birth control. Not reliable. I suppose you could be pregnant, but just do a preg. test, maybe a blood one, just to be 100% sure. I'd be surprised if you were pregnant again already. The body just isn't usually ready this soon to get pregnant when you've carried to term.

If you had periods in those months and they were regular then that would mean your cycle was back on track. Do you think you could be pregnant? If so then test. My period returned 4 weeks after i had bled for 6 weeks after my c-section.
Good luck

Have you had unprotected sex since having your baby? If so then I would definately suggest getting a hpt done right now! I have known people to go for their 6 week check up and be pregnant again. Good luck to you!

everyone is different, but mine took about 3 months after I stopped breastfeeding to get back on track.

if you're worried, take a pregnancy test just to be sure.

good luck and congrats!

usually, as soon as you stop breastfeeding, your period comes back and in a few months, you should become regular.
