I hope so, but I think Israel has to adapt its democratic system towards its situation with the Palestinians. One side will have to take the first step accross the Rubicon, and I pray that Israel doesn't make the wrong decision.

Am Yisrael Chai!!!

amen,
but we as cristian nations shall stand alongside them
it is written that we must, the Jews are gods chosen people its a pitty that they do not believe what is written in the old testamant about the first coming they have all these blind people leading the blind. and can not take in the fact that they crucified the christ, and therefor cannot fathom the word forgivness, as the saviour said on the cross forgive them they know not what they do , we are under the new covenant and we can reach god through his son. so yes we must forgive the ones who crucified our saviour because it is written. and we must stand strong with them untill the second comiing when all shall bend the knee, that is the ones who are left, even the muslims believe in the coming why close the golden gate and bury there dead there,

The Jewish people have withstood Arab terror and warfare for centuries. For starts:

There was a massacre of the Jewish community in Basra in 1776 (in what is now southern Iraq). And one of the most historically important instances of anti-Jewish violence of the nineteenth century occurred in Damascus (now the capital of Syria) in 1840.

Arab violence against Jews has been going on long before there was an occupation, long before there was a refugee problem--indeed, long before there was a political Zionist movement. Need I present more painful examples? Perhaps even further back, where I hope everyone will agree that the Zionist movement did not yet come into being:

In the centuries after Muhammad there have been periods when the Jews were able to live in relative peace under Arabs, but their position was never secure. They were generally viewed with contempt by their Arab neighbors, and their survival was always predicated on their abject subordination and degradation to them. Mass murders of Jewish "protected people" started in Morocco as early as the eighth century, where Idris I wiped out whole communities. A century later Baghdad's Caliph al-Mutawakkil designated a yellow badge for Jews (setting a precedent that would be followed centuries later in Nazi Germany), and synagogues were destroyed throughout Mesopotamia in 854-859. In Tripolitania, Jews were considered the property of their Arab masters, who would bequeath the Jews to their heirs upon death. In the 12th century, after anti-Jewish riots, the contemporaries commented that their population had 'greatly declined.'

Israel (Not Palestine because Palestine is the name of the place and Israel is the name of the country)....anyway...

Israel is a great and proud nation and can surely withstand the test of time but certainly not forever even if the Americans stand by it all the way....

Israel is in the center of tensions going about the middle-east and with all the growing Muslim/Arab nations around, it is a prime target during an all-scale war....that is if the Arabs won't destroy each other first....no offense anyone....

Israel like most racial radical states starting with Sparta and Nazi Germany and finally Apartheid state in south Africa.
Israel is taking the old South African path in implementing deadlock peaceful policies. There are similarities between the two states and the two ideologies:
Zionism call for a racial state for the Jews and the old Afrikaans in South Africa called for a racial state for whites.
Both Israel and the Afrikaans conducted harsh policies against the natives. Townships with high fences to control the native’s movement in the country. Israel is building high wall to control the native people. Both countries use the natives as cheap labors and control their movement by permit cards to the workers. Both countries conducted collective punishment against natives when an individual acts against the state his Township or Refugee camp will be punished for his act. Many Palestinians and South Africans were jailed for more than 20 years for freedom activities. Many Palestinians and South Africans were kicked out of their country for security reasons. Both countries have limited international diplomatic relation with other countries. Both countries refused UN nations Resolutions. Both countries got support from the same racist societies in the world. All those who are supporting Israel now did support the Afrikaans too.
Most of South African states were not democratic states during the apartheid rule in South Africa and most of the Arab states are not democratic states now days due to Zionism rule in Israel.Israel is the only country in the Middle East that dose not have constitution.Israel is the only country that dose not have a declared recognized borders.
The Israeli high court is reviewing the emergency laws, which the country was ruled by for the last 57 years and you think Israel is a democracy all these years.

Israel is radical racial democracy Its called the Jewish state. Its like calling the USA a WASP state. Read the former president of USA Jimmy Carter new book to realize my point of view.
