Acctually, there is an 'Official client (www.bittorrent.com).
Unfortunately, ive had issues with that client anyway. You could try Utorrent (www.Utorrent.com). When it asks you to make it default, press yes. Then press RUN when you download a torrent. It asks what files (usually all of them) you want, and starts to download.

Hope this Helps

I'm not sure which Bittorrent Client (program) you are using but the one I use is called BitComet and there isn't actually an 'official' one.
All you do is download that then install. Whenever you click a link for a torrent file, (if you are using Windows) a message box will pop up asking you to 'run', 'save' or 'cancel'. You can choose either 'run' or 'save' and then the BitComet will come up with another box and you select the files you want and then press 'ok'.

Did you install the software.

Anyway... with bittorrent it just processes the torrent. You find the torrent you want from other websites which hold torrents (I'm not listing any).

Then you dl the torrent of your choice. (its a very fast small download). Then when its dl'd... click on the torrent and bittorrent should start and begin dl-ing your file of choice. There can be other issues with speed... sometimes you have to wait for bittorrent to get some speed going. And if you use a router you may have to unblock some ports in your firewall.

Also its etiquette to upload as much (or more) as you download with bittorrent. There is a community sharing spirit to it.
