I tend to find San Disk to be more reliable than all the others. However most of them come with 3 year or lifetime warranties, but if the card fails you need to send it to the factory.

San Disk will probably cost you more $$

The disk listed here for $22 is a very good deal. The San Disk one is more like $40.

There IS also a speed difference, if your unit can work with the speed.

All these LOW priced disks are generally 8x

Some disks provide up to 100x but they will cost more like $80 for a 2 GB.

If your camera supports this, it can make video transfers faster. If you camera doesn't then it's a waist of money.

Also not all cards read in all machines uniformly.

A lot of Lexars have problems. They break down and have problems reading in certain Kiosk systems.

In answer to your direct question, yes, all SD memory cards are the same. You do not need one dedicated to a particular camera.

it calls for a sd or mmc card up to 2 gb go to supermediastore.com they have a pqi 2 gb sd card for $22.49 shipped and pqi has a lifetime warranty !!!
