No, it's an opportunity to show your manners when things don't go your way. Be gracious and creative, and carry on.
Have a star.

Clearly going to a place that is closed is poor planning, but the rest of the stuff is happenstance. Maybe it's a good thing for you to try something different at a restaurant or see a movie that you didn't know that you'd both like.

I wouldn't be embarrassed at all. If anything, it'll show me whether or not the guy and I make a good team when trying to figure out what to do and where to go instead. Adventure and team work are two major areas of needed traits for a relationship to ever go anywhere!
Put on a smile and let the fun begin!

Movie - Check before you go. Or buy tickets online before the date. (age of technology)
Restaurant - Read the menu.
Place - Drive by ahead of time and check the hours.
So in other words a little but not worth to much stressing.

Usually it's kinda funny on a date, and you get the added bonus of getting to do something spontanous, but on the first date it can be embarassing b/c you're trying to make a first impression. It's not bad though.

yes I would be embarrassed and wish that I had called ahead or something.. however the first two are pretty unlikely and the third happens all the time
the date one is extremely embarrassing
the restaurant one depends on how the waiter tells you that they dont have it, or if thats all you wanted you feel disappointed

It's only embarassing if you think it's embarassing. I would think that instances like these are just part of life, watch a different movie, order something else and go to any other place! No big deal.

No. These things just happen - nothing to be embarrassed about. In fact, it might lead to the pair of you doing something unplanned and impulsive - and more fun...

no, just improvise. i guess some people like the details always there and very predicted. don't give your date that luxury. just don't waste effort or get depressed during the date if possible.

Only if that all happened in the same night. Then it's not only embarrasing it's a sign.
