Well first if u are having a hard time in any class ASK for help. Dont be afraid to ask it will only hurt you to NOT ask. Also be sure to study every night. I know it sucks when your parents are like this but they want whats best for you. Im not an adult telling you what to do Im 22 and I look at my friends who got to do whatever they wanted (myself included) and my friends who had parents like yours. I am not a bad person but I dropped out of high school. Had my parents been on my butt more about homework and goofing off I think I may have graduated. I was always to afraid to ask for help that was a big problem of mine. Just ask your teachers for help or ask for a tutor. And maybe if you get home at 9 for like 2 months straight you can ask to stay out till 9:30 or ten for a night. I dont know how old you are but trust me things will always get better. And besides you have yahoo to occupy you!:) Best of luck.

I've seen stricter. Make less than a B and be grounded 2 report card cycles. Get a detention--lose all priviledges for a month. Fail 1 class, no matter when it was, and hello Summer School! Fail more than 1 class--watch the rest go on vacation while staying at relatives. These are just a few of the ones I have seen. True, they want you to be ready for the future, not learn from the past! Good Luck!

Do you mean you got at least a 60% (D-) on all of your exams? If I was your parents, I would ground you until you improved your grades. School is your job and you need to focus on it. Study, study and study some more. When you start passing all of your classes, then you will earn the right to go out, shop, etc. If you get grounded for being late, then don't be late. If you make an honest effort to study and have one bad test, then maybe your parents won't be so hard on you if they see you making an effort. If you have good grades, then they sound strict and I feel for you. You could always practice your writing/spelling....

Welcome to my world dude! You call that strict? I'm 14, I can't use my cell phone during the week, the home line is locked during the week, I have to study all the time, the internet cable is locked during the week also (but I managed to open it with a peace of metal ;]) and I can only go out twice a month, and if I get a failing grade (which is rare) I get grounded for 4 month. You just got to deal with it, I can't wait for easter vacation to get out of this "prison".

Tell them it's not fair that you can't have a childhood. Study after school for a couple hours a night and ask them why they are pushing you so hard. Maybe there's a reason behind it.

Don't just aim for 60, that's barely passing. If you're spending all that time studying you should be able to get pretty good grades.

You need to respect your parent's decisions!
Stop being such a complainer and whinner!
Being a parent is an extremely difficult job and it sounds like you're one of the truly lucky ones to have parents who care about you so much.
Learn to be respectful, focus on your education and your life will be better.

What did you do? Follow this for a while and your parents may back down. Otherwise, hope for the best and do well on the exam!

I hae had experience in this. Your parents will push you no matter what you think. The best thing to do is to try to be one step ahead of them. I know it sounds like hard work but if you can show them that you can be responsible and are willing to meet their expectations than they will loosen their rules. I hope this helps.
