Very high sodium and sugar content in energy drinks and sodas. Caffeine in coffee plus sugar.
Too much sugar is not good. Fattening and makes you hyperactive. You could get ADD from too much sugar.

They're all stimulants to your body, so it decreases your body's ability to make it's own energy, your body becomes very dependent (or addicted) to external energy sources. Also, these are short term energy solutions and result in big waves of hyperactivity and crashing down from it.
Also, coffee, soda and energy drinks are all diuretic so it means that your body isn't absorbing water like it should. If you drink a cup of coffee, you need to drink 6 glasses of water just to balance out the effect of the coffee. So that's 6 glasses on top of the 8 glasses you should be drinking each day.
Also, energy drinks and sodas have a lot of calories and you can easily drop weight just by cutting out these drinks.
It's also a lot better for your teeth.
Try and cut down for a week before going cold turkey. You will get a really strong headache from quitting coffee (withdrawal - I'm not kidding) but it only lasts for about one day and then you're in the clear.
Good luck!

These so called energy drinks are nothing but instantaneous stimulator's,which are having number of side effects. Foe example Tea contains Tannin and little amount of caffeine which are harmful chemicals in the long run. Soda is nothing but carbon di oxide dissolved in water and compressed to remain in solution , so it does not give in energy. Therefore, it is better to avoid such drinks as far as possible.

If you are under 24 years old, you don't drink coffee, you also don't know how to make a pot of coffee, you just reach for "Sugar and caffine" in "Red Bull", pick up a video game instead of getting a job, and wait for mom and dad to get home with "Take out".
