I'm hispanic from a poor family, and I dont have all the toys the cool guys have to impress girls. I'm about to graduate from college and hopefully be making some pretty good money. Deep I hope so, but then I would be very disappointed in girls because nothing about will change, just the stuff I own.

Honestly dude, Ive learned that either you can get girls or you cant. I have alot of dirt poor friends, who have game, and they **** more girls than anyone. And on the flip side, I have many friends with nice cars and designer clothes, but they dont have what it takes to get girls. Its all about how you interact with the fairer sex.

I don't know why an increase in social status would increase your chance to be with girls. However, if I were you I would look at it this way.
You're soon to be a graduate with a BA or BS or even a PHD or other doctorate, right? Why would you be so turned down with something so trivial like this?
Looking for a soul mate is not all about social status or wealth. It is finding some one that can understand you physically, mentally and emotionally. Just being compatible is not enough to have a relationship, both of the party has to be congruent to each other and understand what each other wants and needs.
Shouldn't you be glad that you are a part of minority that have a degree?
If you are worried about how the girls see you just because you have a degree now, then you should go look for some one with a degree.
Proof to others that you are not just a statistic that hispanics can't get an education pass higschool. Specially if you get an intellectual girl that you can fell in love with. Trust me, if she has a degree just like you, she will be more worry about pleasing her husband or her boyfriend, where ever you fit in this category.
Don't worry about other things, since you already getting a degree, why don't you use your education to your advantage instead of worrying about social status.

answer to main question: yes, of course it will. what do you think 'increase in social status' means?
social status is a game that women invented to get men to jump through hoops.. (works a little like the point system on yanswers) and to help them decide which man they want, since a lot of em are sheep that have a hard time making up their own minds..
however, money and toys aren't the only path to social status - not even the most effective ones. just the easiest ones, that any idiot can get.

Girls go out with guys who have some money because they don't want to get stuck marrying some guy who is going to lay around the house all day and not work. Girls are also very competitive, so if she's with a successful guy, it isn't really about any money she can get out of him, but the pride in being seen with someone him. Girls also like to see a bit of ambition, even she knows he's only going to fall on his face.

It may help your chances with one-night-stands, but it sounds like you're looking for more. Most people end up together by meeting through friends, from work, or from some other social situation (clubs, organizations, volunteer efforts, church, etc.). Not too many meet in singles bars and end up together forever. Sure, making more money will help provide more opportunities, but hopefully you won't just be looking to attract someone who's more interested in your bank account than who you are. Hang in there and put yourself in situations where you can meet more people. You'll meet your special someone eventually -- probably when you least expect to do so. :) Good luck!

Social status has never had anything to do with why me or any of my firends have dated a guy. It's all about how you treat a girl. Trust me, and don't pull the "but I'm hispanic bs" some of my friends whine about skin color doesn't matter if you're a gentleman.

not all girls look for material things. Look for a girl like that. Just the gold diggers want riches. But if thats what you want to attract, then you should wait till after you graduate when you have more money. However, you shouldn't settle for so less ok

There are plenty of golddiggers out there who would love to hook up with you if your making good money. These are not the kind of women to marry. They'll stay with you about a year or two and then take half of everything you've got and go screw the gardener. Go to church and find a good woman that loves the Lord and takes their wedding vows seriously.
