GOOD AND EVIL
Gen.8:21; The imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth Gen3:22; Evil existed before the world was.
Just because evil exist, is no reason one has got to be a part of it, or be it.

Why not? Why does the existence of God preclude the existence of evil? God and evil can both exist in the same universe...
One could also make arguments about how the existence of evil is a necessary consequence of the existence of free will; i.e., if one can only chose good, then no real choice exists. Thus, to have a universe with free will demands the existence of evil.

A christian or jew might tell you that there is evil because the devil is making them do it.
A muslim might tell you that evil is done by only nonbelievers.
An athiest might tell you that there cannot be good without evil. If there is no evil there would be no good either.
Which answer you prefer depends on your beliefs.
Personally I'm of the opinion that more evil is done in the name of god then in the name of anything else. If there was no religion there would be much less evil done. There would be no conflict in the middle east (except for money and oil). There would have been no Crusades. Then again I'm also of the opinion that if there is a hell, this is probably it. How would we know it wasn't.
Men never do evil so cheerfully and so completely as when they do so from religious conviction.

God is holy. God is perfect. Only good and pure things come from God. But God doesn't force His will on anyone. He gives us a free choice to follow His perfect will or to go our own way. When we step out of His perfect will and do things our own way, those things we surround ourselves with are no longer pure and perfect. They are now evil.
We may not think the small and seemingly insignificant things that we do are SO evil, compared to serial killers, rapists and the like. But scripture says that it is not rape and murder that are the sins that God hates the most; it is pride. Pride is simply thinking that we know better what is good for us than God and not taking His guidance to heart. It is from pride that all the other sins are fostered.
It was pride that caused Satan - Lucifer - to fall from Gods favor. In turn it was pride that he used to tempt Eve. In both cases it manifested itself into wanting to be like God. Each time we leave God out of our decisions or plans we are guilty of the same sin.
Can we acheive perfection? Not hardly. But there is grace thru Christ to cover those sins and make us right again. And we can approach perfection with a repentant heart, which sheds light in the darkness and makes the world a little less evil than we found it.

People create the evil.
God doesn't have a part in it.
We're all individuals. But, it's not some demonic evil that exists, it's just negative people. I don't believe in some satanic evil. Just dark minds.

Because God gives us free will to choose between good and evil, and some choose evil. That has ramifications for the innocent and good, of course. They suffer because of the evil choices of certain people. But God knew this would be so. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

Evil came from Lucifer. He had pride in his heart and wanted to set upon the throne of God. So God threw him out of heaven. Since then Lucifer/Satan has become more and more evil. Enticing people to follow him, putting them into bondage so they will preform evil. But Jesus came to set the captives free.
