IN RELATIONSHIP BOTH ARE EQUALLY IMPORTANT. LOVE WITHOUT LUST AND LUST WITHOUT LOVE CANNOT BE ENJOYED TO THERE EXTREMES.

AND ABOUT LASTING RELATIONSHIPS WELL .... RELATIONSHIPS BREAK EVEN IF BOTH LOVE & LUST ARE STRONG COZ RELATIONSHIPS DEPEND ON ADAPTABILITY & SACRIFICES APART FROM LOVE & LUST.

BEING A BETTER HUMAN BEING MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE TO ALL THE RELATIONSHIPS.

Love is definitely the most important thing. Forget about the lust. Even when the lust is there is usually dwindles off after a while.

I think a relationship without love or lust could work, I think that after a while the love would grow. This is the system of the 19th and 20th century where people would marry based on family background and similar interests etc. Love would grow between them afetr a while. Also in cultures where marriage matching is common, I think that as long as the personalities match, the love will grow from there. And with the love the lust will grow. Or vice versa. Ha ha.

I guess all you can do is give it a shot and see whether any stronger feelings develop. But if they don't, do you really want to spend your life in an emotionally barren relationship? I think finding someone who you were truly, deeply in love with would be the best thing ever, I can't wait for it to happen to me!

Wishing you good luck in love.

well if you love someone enough....the lust part should just be a natural thing that follows soon after you come to the conclusion that it is love. But, if you have love, and you dont have lust to drive you, you may end up cheating because their is something missing from the equation. I wouldnt want to go to bed everynight knowing my husband loves me but lusts after some playboy pinup girl. Or I wouldn't like it when he is with me and he is thinking about someone else to get him in the mood.
Of course if it is all just lust, then that isnt healthy either, because the entire relationship revolves around the physical, and that becomes the only real communication. You are interested in the person purely for sexual reasons.

Love is important. But it might come later once u get to know the person well. Love and friendship is a good combination to start with. Lust might be there initially, but there's no guarantee that it would last. With love it comes respect and understanding. Lust is just lust.

I believe love works well for long term relationship esp to grow old together with a person you can talk everything to. Lust? Well, once you lose your spark, what would you do? Dump her/him? If you love a person, at least you would try your best to get the lust back into the relationship.

My vote is still love. :-D

love is the only thing important in a relationship. there should be no place for lust even the love for lust has no value. lust created because of your age compatibilities .love doesnt even doesnt need lust. n yeah a relationship does work without a lust but without love i think itz not a relationship rather.

A relationship works on following factors:

1> Love - the most important factor. Relationships based on this factor last longer; or
2> Lust - Another facotr that can start off a relationship. Such relationships may be joy ofr a moment, but at later stages, they are just pain in the rear;
3> Experimental choice - At times, some pairs may want to try out whether they can work it out together or not. The rest depends on who well they are able to co-ordinate with each other.

All the best...

:-)

In a relationship, love is very important. Lust is just for a one night stand kind of things. Lust is built on sight whereas love is built on feelings/emotions. Lust is purely physical whereas love is emotional and it springs from the heart. So, if you want a lasting relationship, then start loving.

Relationship without love and lust never work. Both love and lust is equally important. If you only love and no lust, this tend your partner to look for lust outside married life thus resulting in adultery or runaway bride (groom)..

Well, both are a must of course in order of love first , lust next. For a long term companionship, love is a must however if there is no lust there is no love, physically that is...because of this whatever love there is would be lost too! Emotionally love is required , on a physical sense lust is required too :-)
