You can also add to the list the rights that have been violated by Christians
"All sects of heretics are condemned and various punishments are appointed for them and their accomplices."
--Pope Alexander IV
Catholic extermination camps
Surprisingly few know that Nazi extermination camps in World War II were by no means the only ones in Europe at the time. In the years 1942-1943 also in Croatia existed numerous extermination camps, run by Catholic Ustasha under their dictator Ante Paveli笠a practicing Catholic and regular visitor to the then pope. There were even concentration camps exclusively for children! In these camps - the most notorious was Jasenovac, headed by a Franciscan friar - orthodox-Christian Serbians (and a substantial number of Jews) were murdered. Like the Nazis the Catholic Ustasha burned their victims in kilns, alive (the Nazis had victims gassed first). But most of the victims were simply stabbed, slain or shot to death, the number of them being estimated between 300,000 and 600,000, in a rather tiny country. Many of the killers were Franciscan friars. The atrocities were appalling enough to induce bystanders of the Nazi "Sicherheitsdienst der SS", watching, to complain about them to Hitler (who did not listen). The pope knew about these events and did
nothing to prevent them.
Jerusalem conquered 7/15/1099 more than 60,000 victims (Jewish, Muslim, men, women, children).
1648 Chmielnitzki massacres: In Poland about 200,000 Jews were slain.
Massacre of Sand Creek, Colorado 11/29/1864. Colonel John Chivington, a former Methodist minister and still elder in the church "I long to be wading in gore" had a Cheyenne village of about 600, mostly women and children, gunned down despite the chiefs' waving with a white flag: 400-500 killed.
1860s, "in Hawaii the Reverend Rufus Anderson surveyed the carnage that by then had reduced those islands' native population by 90 percent or more, and he declined to see it as tragedy; the expected total die-off of the Hawaiian population was only natural, this missionary said, somewhat equivalent to 'the amputation of diseased members of the body'."
just to name a few

Is it my imagination, or did you just pre- judge, slam, and not treat as your equal, the Christian? I guess it's wrong for a person to stand up for what that person believes. I'll ask. Are abortions legal? Is, or is not, evolution taught in schools? Are there gay rights and in some places, gay marriage? Are there Muslims in this country? Do they have the freedom of religion? Wiccan and atheist are not religions. If you see a person doing something that you feel is harmful, bad, wrong, is it evil of you to point it out to them? A little kid puts his finger near the cover of a spinning fan, do you let him and let him take his chances? Or, do you warn him about the danger and harm it could cause him? Christianity is about the same thing. Christianity isn't FORCED on you by Christians. It's explained, reasons given, out of care. If a Christian didn't care, why would they say anything??

by asking this, your guilty of the same thing. No group, including all the ones you mentioned, as well as Christians, are completely devoid of hypocrisy or hate or prejudice. EVERY GROUP EVERYWHERE Is guilty of it to some degree, so for everyone to point at everyone else and call them hypocrites is foolish and makes you just as bad as the person you are pointing at. The fact is, no one is perfect, regardless of their beliefs. And really in order to be a good person, regardless of your affiliations, you have to make a personal choice not to act that way, but that doesn't mean that you are guilty of the sins of the others you are affiliated with. And to assume that all persons in a group always act a certain way is a rather stupid assumption.

First off, you are defining Christian pretty broadly, I am one and am a big fan of Evolution and Islam, and indifferent about some of the other things on your list. I think your question comes at the problem from the wrong angle, however. People are against things, they are going to stiffle the things they are against and promote what they are for. It is not a matter of rights. Christian or not, people who are seriously against one thing (Abortion, lets say) are not worried about the rights of those who are for it, if they were they could not stop it. For example, if you were against the worship of God and yet supported the freedom of religion, you could not prevent the worship of God. It is not a matter of Christians or any group having one standard for themselves and another for others. It is a matter of people being against things, and by definition do not support the things they are against. It is not ironic, it is just a matter of fact.

As a christian who was raised non-denominational I totally agree with you. I can't stand the hypocritical ways of some people. Most religions do it, some specific christian sects especially but I'm not going to go into name calling cause I won't reduce myself to their level. If everyone just respected each other like they are supposedly taught to do we wouldn't have to have this discussion. As a vegetarian I get that a lot too, I'm not going to shove my beliefs down your throat so why are you trying to make me eat meat or try to explain how I am wrong? I don't push my beliefs on others because they are exactly that, MY BELIEFS, I just wish people could hear how they sound sometimes.

I am a Christian and I apologize for the Christian's you believe have mistreated people. I am sorry. What we should be known for is love, unfortunately that is not the case. However I want you to know that not all Christians mistreat people.

Of course, you never "conveniently" :
Consider:
Christians
Bible
Own Agenda
Those with different beliefs than you
Despise those who do good
Com'on now; in your arrogance, do you not find it difficult to remain superior in such a mediocre world? Are you not being self-righteous in your "holier-than-thou" stance? Give me a break - will you ?

No one really has any rights, except those given by God. I guess the only right I have is entry into Heaven if I accept Jesus as my Savior and slowly progress towards Christ-like behavior, as paradoxical and impossible as that might be for a sinner.

Evolution:Funny, most Christians do believe in evolution.
Gay's and Lesbians:Well, let's not get into that. You conveniently forget the Jewish people who are against same-sex marriage.
Abortion:And so you don't care about the rights of the unborn? Besides, there are atheist, agnostic, and gay pro-life groups as well.Abortion isn't a religous issue, but a moral issue.
Atheists:What about them? Have atheists been harmed? Forbidden from being irreligous? Where was your outrage when an atheists said that Christians should be driven from society and forbidden to vote?
Wiccans:Again,what about them?
Muslims:Now,this is the clincher.Over 120,000 Christians, and millions in Sudan, are being killed for their faith each year, predominately by Muslims. Are Christians doing this? Nope.We are not denying Muslims ANYTHING.
We are not 'attacking' anyone.Debate is essential to society.
