For those who had done so, was there a change you distinctly noticed at that point of time when you did?

He will take the controll of your things. You do not have to be afraid about the things going to happen. Though you go through the difficulties then you know He is with you! So, iisn't it great? You will strat to trust the beauty of the life and the people than all of them in the goodness of the Lord.

I read some really good answers here.

In my case it wasn't an instant thing. But as I did come to realize that the Bible was the true Word of God and could be trusted, I surrendered to His perfect will. It was then that my eyes really opened up and His Word became alive as I read it. The Holy Spirit began to reveal things of God in the Bible that were there the whole time but I just couldn't see.

I was hungry to know so much more of Him. I went through about a one year period where it seemed that there was a hedge around me where nothing bad could happen and God just seemed to take care of all situations. The first thing that I noticed that my mouth cleaned up and the things in life that had seemed such a burden no longer had that weight to them. I got a heart for people that I didn't know or would otherwise relate to. Probably the biggest change was that my concept of love had changed to something much less selfish and selective.

Then it was like God had said, "Boy, you are getting fat on head knowledge. It is time to put it into practice." Temptations that i hadn't experienced in a year started coming back around. Can't say I passed all of them very well. But that is part of the learning process and God picked me up, dusted me off and let me keep trying again and again till I got passed that one. Then on to the next one. Each time learning to trust God more and rely on His strength instead of my own.

The further into the process, the closer you get to God and the better you can hear the things He is trying to say to you. It is an incredible journey. You get to see the God of creation do some pretty incredible things thru you if you are willing to submit and follow Him.

For me it was like going from being an animal to becoming alive. I am not going to say it was like going from an animal to becoming human, because it was much more than that, but at the same time, there was and is that sense of not being complete without God. That existed before I came to Jesus Christ, but I just could not understand it, kind of like being in a dream and never having been awake before. It was a whole new reality.

Everything went from being all about me to being all about God, which of course means care, concern, and love for others too. I started seeing things from His point of view and I began to change my life around, because it was His life now. I made God my God.

I sure noticed the change inside of me, inside of my mind. I would think that others noticed too, but it is hard to say for sure because I was always a "good" person. So in a way, it was a pretty good fit, but I would have to say that being a good person like that and becoming a Christian is a huge, tremendous difference whether someone can see it on the outside or not.

Emotions come and go, feelings change, understandings of things change, people grow up and mature, but Jesus Christ remains the same. It was a real, permanent difference that has always remained the same. Life, Truth, and Love, and the Way to God, even way back then I knew that I was given those things, even though no one had told me.

I was perhaps a little unique in that I did not have to put up with a lot of teachings for years and years like many do, nor did I have to contend with the philosophies and doctrines of men. It was just God, and me.

Yes, the Holy Spirit worked quickly, but was also very patient with me. At first I didn't feel really saved, so I went through the whole prayer again and again. Then I was told by a friend that I only needed to pray one time. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was that I didn't like to hear cussing and I even quit, and also that I could not tolerate someone using the Lords name in vain. Then I got convicted of the music I was listening to, like Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne and such, so I got rid of those CDs and kept only the ones that did not have satanic lyrics. I then got convicted of wearing jeans and clothing meant for men, so I started buying modest dresses and am having some made at this time. I still get convicted of things as life goes on, but it is a happy thing. I have given my life to Jesus and am now a born again Christian and loving it. I have finally found the peace I have been searching for.

You go insane trying to be perfect and then get depressed when everyone tells you dont have faith because you cannot be perfect, and then when you try and try to beleive, you start asking questions and then you get called "back slider" and heretical and you need to have faith, and the cycle goes on and on.

Noone helps you, they just put you down to make themselves feel better. That is what christianity is all about.

Certainly.
I felt that the burdens of life are no longer the worry of myself alone.
Jesus is there for me, he will share the burden, & I felt relaxed.
The problems seemed easier.

It depends on whose version of Jesus Christ you have faith in.
