why do jewish man date outside of there religion?

Question

I was dating a 29yr jewish/persian man for a bit over a year. We had discussed ou different beliefs and respected each others opinion. Soon after his family found out about our serious-ness they turned on him and be then came to resent me. I silently respect him choosing his family wishes over me...however, I can't help but to be angry/recentful at god, religion...and for allowing our sincere feelings to evolve. Was I born into the wrong religion? I don't know what to think....I need closure. Please help me! Anyone.

Lots of people date outside of their religion- not just Jewish men. Sorry this was a hurtful situation for you.
