Well I used to be a very alert and never getting tired workoholic till about six months back. I resigned from a top notch MNC to start my own consultancy. The things did not work out to be a good proposition due to immnese market pressure forcing the lending rates rising by 4% in last one year. Now i am facing another big jolt, I feel drowsy/sleepy most of teh time when i am working. When the night falls and it is the real time to sleep I am wide awake as an own thinking about business and finances. Still i manage atleast 7 hours of bed( whether sleeping or just lying down). I wake up fresh but as soon as i enter my office, I am drowsy/sleepy again.... Please help.. whats this happening to me?

I am not taking any medication. I am regular about my meals. I take only typical indian food constituting of carbohydrates. yes tension might be one of the reasons, what shall i do be the old workoholic, who always had the whole office on his tips.

There is nothing abnormal happen to you. You are only under stress. Manage your stress properly.
1. Do Exercise ( MUST DO )
Wake up early in the morning. Take a glass of plain water. Wear appropriately and go out take a walk (2-3km ) or jog.
Practice 3 times a week.
2. Take balance diet and at appropriate time
Do not skip your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Enjoy this time in your life. Does not need to go to posh restaurant to enjoy your dinner but the 15 mins time you have just enjoy it at your home dining table.
3. Be motivated at work
The price of success is hardwork, dedication to the job at hand and determination. Whether we win or lose we apply the best of ourselves to the task at hand.
4. Take 4-5 hours only for sleep at night.
If you cannot sleep at night, you must wake up. Do whatever you can...Reading, writing etc. If you feel asleep at the day time (sure because you don't sleep at night ) DO NOT sleep.
You must wait until night fall. After dinner, say 7pm...do walk at least 44 steps before you rest. Then at 10:30pm take a glass of warm milk. By 11:00 go to sleep. You will have a good deep sleep and wake up fresh in the morning.Believe me...

Are you eating breakfast or your other meals? Usually when we forget to eat or don't eat our body has nothing to burn and begins to slow down. You could be taking a new medication that is causing you to be drowsy. Alot of muscle relaxers cause sleepiness. The stress of starting your own business could be a factor. Maybe your sleep is off so its causing you to be backwards which is drowsy during the day and alert in the evening. Maybe all you need to do is get your sleeping pattern back on track and make sure you eat breakfast. Certain foods we eat can also cause drowsiness. If you are eating alot of carbs or junk food lined with sugar this can affect you as well.
