Yahoo! Classifieds and craigslist.org are both free online ads.. However, I believe there is a small charge for photo ads.
First try your local pet supply shops, groomer's shops, etc.

craigslist you are not supposed to advertise there selling, and most of the time it's not even worth it. Especially if you have highend puppies that sell for more then $2-300.
I tried it for awhile, and got the shocked faces about $750-$1,000 for show potential pups with lots of CH lines and stopped using them.
I bring puppies in to the local feed and the local nature pet store I go to, show them the puppies and post and ad on their board.
The reason I bring the puppies is because then if someone mentions the add, whoever is working that day will say "oohh I saw those pups, they are such and such".
Also many a times they will know people who are looking for a particular breed. Be it another breeder or someone who shows or has children in 4-H
The best bet is to start a website and network with other breeders, start a banner exchange. on your home page, put up some key words like "beagle breeder, beagle, show dog, hunting dog, etc" make it the same color as your back ground so they don't show to the puppy buyer, but they will help web searches point your direction since you have those content words.
www.freewebs.com has a well put together web creator, as well as you can pay and get no-ads and upgrades.
You are going to have to fork over some money though *lol* at some point, especially if you plan on breeding long-term.
Established sites are a good advertisement. Think about what you would want to buy from. A place filled with ad's and crappy music??? or a site with no ads that has lots of info about the breed?

This is where my husband finally found the right dog for us. Although I must admit that I had searched online alot more than he had but somehow he ran across it. *** It helped by searching "pets for sale" not dogs or puppies for sale through the yahoo search engine. *** Yes there are pictures on this site.
I've never tried listing or selling anything through this site so I can't say for certain that it would be free, however the name of the site leads one to assume that the ads are free.
Hope this helps, good luck!

dont be a cheapskate.
you earn off them so spend a little.
I'm wondering if you cut costs in other aspects too. profits should come second to finding a great home & upbringing.
breeding correctly is for the benefit / improvement of the breed not to earn a few bucks.
If your pups / breeding stock are any good & correctly bred you should have a que of peeps waiting for a quality pup thats well bred as we always had.

Post a picture of your beagle pups or a parent, and a strip of papers with your phone number on it.. In the Grocery stores and convenience stores. Everybody will be attracted to a big beagle picture and they can tear off a phone number.. it would be good to put "beagle pups and your number" on each tear off piece. then tear off the first one so nobody takes the first tear off.. people are funny about not wanting to tear off the first number.
You can get a web site name from yahoo for a very low price per year. put beagles for sale somehow in the name so you get a lot of hits from beagle lovers. Good Luck and Name one Betsy Mae Beagle for me :)

Put up signs at your local hunting lodges, they are hunting dogs. Put up signs at your local library, ask convenience stores if you can post a sign somewhere.
Contact, your local Kennel Club, and agility clubs. They might have breeder lists, for prospective dog buyers to look at, you would definatly want to be on those lists.
It is expensive to be a caring and reputable breeder. Good luck with finding places to advertise for free.
