My eyes have been getting bloodshot a lot lately, but i've been attributing it to staying up too late (into morning hours a lot) well i took them out today and went to bed (I usually don't often..every other day) when i woke up they are still very red. on the outside of the iris and some veins at edges. im worried did i mess up my eye? can I wear them till saturday when i go to eye doctors? leave them out? (im totally blind atm)

conjunctivitis is caused by lack of sleep at night in majority cases but it can also be caused by stimulant of dirt or insect.u r advised to check with ur eye specialist asap n his medicines(eye drops).don't always sleep late at night.take care.

What did you take out? Your eyes!!! you never say anything about contact lenses, but I just pressume that you are talking about that when you say you take them out!lol
Yes, you have damaged your eyes, infact it's got an infection in it-don't ask me what it's called because it is some strange name- the exact same thing happened to my boyfriend 4 months ago! He was working 16 hours a day,6 days a week. so the only time he took it out was the 6 hours he slept! YOu not suppose to have it in longer than 10 hours a day! That's what the doc told him. Is eyes was so badly infected that when he was driving and the sun was to bright, his eyes rolled back and he had to stop in the middle of the road!!! So to make a long story short, the doctor told him to not where is contacts untill the infection is cleared and to where his glasses for some time. He gave him some drops to put in his eyes as well. Now how long it will take for the infection to clear i really don't know because my boyfriend decided to stick to the glasses and just where the contacts when we go out. He got himself a nice pair of Diesel designer glasses, so atleast he does not look dorky or anything!!
But really man you should take those lenses out more often so that your eyes can rest!! This is a serious matter, make an appointment with a eye spesialist TODAY- he will tell you the same things and follow his advice!! The worst thing in live must be to be blind!! and you don't want that.... so take out those lenses, swop it with your glasses and let your eyes rest!! and if you are concerned about looking like a dork - What is the most important thing- to look stupid for a month or so or to loose your eyesight!!!
