I've met this one guy (a friend's friend) who hugged me and held me really close when he said goodbye... he has been flirting with me this week (looking at me, teasing me). He hasn''t called or anything yet, but it has only been a week.
Guys: do you hug/flirt with female friends or do you think it's more of a romantic gesture?

Yes. But the overly agressive in the beginning usually flames out the quickest too. In today's lawsuit crazy society, I don't hug to not be mistaken for sexual harassment. Even if it is reciprocated at some point in time in the future, it can become sexual harassment.

I've been told I flirt with almost every woman I meet. But hugging is off limits. Physical touch, IMO is crossing the border from being playful, to showing desire.

The one guy I know of who does this puts about 14 oz. of oil in his hair every morning before he walks out the door, and wears this dumb-but-doesn't-know-it smirk, like he thinks he's Valentino all the time. He's pretty much the joke among the ironic set at work.

well if hes single and ur single and ur both aware of the flirting goin on then i dont see any harm.. however dont make more of it than that ... and well on the other hand if a guy is seeing someone then the huggin and flirtin with someone else is a big no no.. other than that i guess its jus harmless fun and flirting as long as either of the two concerned dont make somethin else of it !

Awe he likes you! He's slowly becoming more affectionate towards you so that you can hug him. Guys will rarely ever initiate that first hug, usually the girls do it. So if you want to hug him, HUG HIM! :)

yup... for me yes... I do filrt n tease my girl friend or colleagues too.. sometime a kiss or hugs or whatever... its just a form of courtesy, or so-called 'romantic gesture'... but it doesnt mean that he/she is interested in dating... most guy just enjoy the way of 'flirting'...

usually any kinda affection showed to guys can be confused with romanticism. so no huggies unless you want ,problems.

yes i do it,s my way of being friendly i make shore they are all right with it first.i being a friend or i tell them i have a crush on them but i will not do any thing dumb like kiss unless i ask them if it,s all right.
