America will be neutral because it will play safe. Both, India and Pakistan are influential in the world community and big markets for American products.

Hopefully the problem could be solved diplomatically. India has a much more significant military (mainly air force) than Pakistan. As long as the conflict did not go nuclear and the US did not take sides I think India would decimate Pakistan. But if it came down to taking sides I think the US would side with India because the US will need India as an ally if the US and China go war.

The US would definitely stay neutral, and if anything they would "persuade" India not to attack Pakistan. While India does have the edge on "conventional" military equipment versus Pakistan, any attack on Pakistan could result into a nuclear war. In the past, Pakistan has threatened any Indian aggression with the use of "full force" (meaning nuclear weapons). The US & the world would not like to have a nuclear disaster (in the midst of everything else going on in the world). So with that said, they would probably strongly "persuade" India not to attack. I hope that answers your question.

Great question. With the Bush White House anything can happen. I think America will stay neutral. We will do all we can diplomatically to get both sides to not go to war. I think at this stage of the game we will not want to piss off a nation with nuclear weapons. Both nations have large population living in the USA. Blessed be the peace maker.

I beleive India could, to coach Pakistan a lesson. India are much better than Pakistan, nd India even have international sympathy form relax of the international. Pakistan government knowwhere each and all the terrorists stay, yet they gained't divulge it. India's maximum needed, Ibrahim is residing in Lahore, and Pakistan have by no potential caught him. C'mon India!!!!!!!!

Yes the USA would take sides with Pakistan. The USA can't afford to have problems with Pakistan due to Afghanistan...

these two countries have been shooting at each other for years, right? each country knows the other will use nukes if threatened with defeat, right? War between these two = both lose. will it happen? The USA don't need to get involved because they are going to make that choice anyway.

India was supposed to hold free elections in Kashmir in 1955 but hasn't gotten around to it. Apparently they want to wait until they have resettled enough non muslims into the area to win.
