Hey everyone, I just came accross this wile I was very depressed and had a bit to drink tonight. I just wish someone could please tell me what the hell is wrong with me, I mean come on I'm 30 and never had 1 girl not once take any interests in me my whole life!
I used to think I was cool and good looking, I'm 5 foot 10 at 150LBS slinder and very athletic, I was a lead guitarist in a rock band in high school and very talented in music. I made great grades and went to college and now am an engineer for CSX railroad making 30 dollars an hour. I live in Kingsport Tennessee where I was born and raised and girls here are so stuck up in there selfs it's not funny. If I had a dollar for every girl that told me I'm not there type I could put Michael Jackson in the poor house. Even all my old high school buddys I still hang out with girlfriends and wives hate me, my friend Brian's girlfriend told me once look in the mirror if you wanna know why you never could get a date. Any advice????

Hello again everyone thanks for all the replys! I'm not sure what else to say but this has really became a struggle for me. After all I have worked so very hard to get where I'm at with my carrer and I love it very much. Someone ask if I was nice and I will say this. I'm the nicest guy you will ever come accross, I would give a stranger the shirt off my back if I seen he needed it. I strive to help others and try to life right with god but for some reason people use my kindness as a weapon to use and take advantage of me. Everytime I've gave my trust and total friendship to someone they use it for personal advantage then stabb me in the back when the hand outs stop. Sometimes I wish I never went to college to get this job making great money because it's caused as much greef as happiness. Driving nice cars and having toys is nothing if you never have anyone to enjoy it with!!!!

As far as hobbies I have a passion for old cars. I'm into restoring classic cars as a hobby I find great joy giving new life to something that looks dead that someone threw out like a wore out dish rag and left to rot. I guess I can relate to that. I have a 72 Duster I completed last summer. 87 Trans Am that's going for paint soon, 73 VW beetle just got new engine, and looking for a 69 Dodge Charger to build my childhood dream car a General Lee!!!!
I'm also into 4 wheelers and mountain biking and love the out doors.

You need to move dude. Maybe to a larger city, where you will have a larger variety of women.

I think you should talk to someone about your problems. Obviously this is an issue, and you seem like a good person who has no self-esteem. People pick up on that, and if you don't think you're worth dating, women won't either. Sometimes talking to someone can put some things in perspective. I know it did for me.
Plus, Tennessee is a rather conservative place for the most part, not exactly the part of the world where being in a rock band is cool. Maybe move to Knoxville where there is a more liberal and understanding crowd. But only after you figure yourself out.

I can't speak for the girls in Tennesse, but here in Southern California, there is a new level of STUCK UP. If you are making 30.00 an hour - about 62k a year, that is a lot of money in Tennesse. So obviously you are secure with your career and life. I would suggest the 3Cs. Women love men who are confident, caring, and clever. Women love to laugh and a sense of humor goes a long way. Show women you care - if you don't - pretend. Confidence, women find men that are confident very attractive. Last but not least, get a sense of style. Check out Stuff,GQ or Maxim - not the just the chicks, but they demonstrate what men should look like, you don't have to buy a 2500 prada suit, you can find a tailor suit at Express or Banana for 350 - 500.

This is so hard to say without meeting you. But I have known people that fail with woman just because they come off arrogant or too serious and sometimes it is purely that a person lacks confidence in themselves that can deflect people.
I know I like a person who is confident, who doesn't worry about what others think. there is however a thin line between confidence and arrogance and the latter is worse than a person having no confidence at all.
If you really do feel that old pals hate you...I would say ditched those friends because they are obviously not worth your effort. A good pal will help you better yourself and give you the self esteem to carry on with a happy life.
Good luck !!

do no longer take word of a few of those college youngster's solutions. they have been brainwashed by technique of the media and are not something yet band-wagon jumpers who think of there is something incorrect with you. those spoilt little ones do no longer comprehend the difficulty and impracticality of shifting out to stay on your guy or woman in the present economic climate. You seem a like an clever, nicely-spoken guy and that i stumble on it unusual that folk have skipped over your question so at the instant. For me, the respond is definite. There are easily extra 30+ 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous virgins available, yet you does not know it because of the fact numerous them are too shy and stay at domicile lots. what's extra is they're below numerous peer stress approximately them being single and this might injury their self-self assurance a great deal (i've got seen this ensue to my brother). i'm in my early Nineteen Twenties and am additionally a virgin - even a kissing virgin. in spite of the actuality that i does not say i'm ashamed approximately it, I do locate it slightly embarrassing while human beings around me are speaking approximately intercourse because of the fact I often wish that i'm no longer asked approximately it in those circumstances. as long as you have self assurance & are happy with your self, that is not suitable in case you're a virgin or no longer, human beings will in basic terms be like "wow i would be unable to have self assurance this sort of competent guy is a virgin" and have self assurance me a great female might want you to be a virgin in the event that they actually enjoyed you.

First thing that comes to my mind is, what are YOU doing that makes these women feel this way about you?? could it be the long hours @ work??
could it be the alcohol?? or maybe it's your mindset?
I'm NOT trying to put you down, but with so many ppl saying this about you,it makes me think you need to change something about you.
Then again, maybe moving to a different town just might be the answer....

I have no idea why you sound like a really great guy...but you can't expect a girl to fall into your lap...you have got to work hard for one...just like you did with your school work...a girl will come along one day...some people would be very grateful to be in your position...but still i understand because you want to experience love...or other things with a girl...but be patient...good things come to those who wait...try going out more and meeting girls.

Well, I can say the same for my husband. He had to wait 37 years to meet me and there's nothing at all wrong with him. But, it was so AWESOME to know that I'm the only one for him! Geez, he had alot of girls do and say mean things to him before too. They don't know what they are talking about - you just need to get into some new crowds and meet alot of different women. Singles groups are great for that - it's where I met my hubby. Good things come to those who wait - that's what my hubby would say - but it wasn't easy for him that's for sure.

First is to organise yourself; the way you present yourself. Could it be that you are too carried away with your talent and qualification that you give people the aloof look? Try to be humble and don't brag too much about how much you earn. Be nice and smile all the time. This way, girls would be attracted to your personality.
