Hmmm, above answer along with Ex-RN would make me wonder!

Do not use any antibiotic or any other medications after the expiration date on the bottle. There is a reason for the expiration date. Medications do go bad, and are less effective after expiration dates.

It depends on where it was made and how it was kept. It might be ok and it might be less than totally effective once past exp date. There is no way to know for sure. In general, I keep/use 6 months past expiry then throw away.

Throw it out.

Once it's past its expiry date there's no guarantee of how effective it is. Taking sub optimally effective antibiotics can cause resistant bacteria to develop.

I say 18 mnths, cuz it effective, just not as strong.
