Yes, you can be an MP with a GED.

The lowest score possible on the ASVAB, and still gain entrance into the Army, with a GED is 40, I believe. It may have gone down since I got out of recruiting.

The lowest possible score on the ASVAB, and still gain entrance into the Army, with a HS diploma is 28. Again, the scores necessary may have changed.

Having said the above, you have to realize that just "passing" the ASVAB will not get you a specific job. The ASVAB is a "Vocational Battery" test. It tests what you have the ability to learn. In order to be an MP, you have to have a General Technical (GT) of 110 or higher. This will be computed when you take the test.

If you are serious about joining my Army, and my MP corp, I suggest you stay in school and get your diploma. Lexus has it right. We don't want "the minimum", we want the best. Quitters and slackers have NO PLACE in either my Army, or my MP corp.

Why don't you try to do the best you can on the asvab, and take practice tests to improve? I am an MP and wouldnt want someone who thinks just squeaking by is enough. The MP Corps has a very high standard, and if you want to join it, you need to try to excel above that standard, not barely make it.

I think that the lowest score you could get to still qualify is around 70 but i would advise that you go in to the infantry because the laws are so different that it wouldnt matter when you got out of the Army anyways. Try an 11Bravo. If your interested in doing the bare minimum you only need a 33 or something for that.

Do you plan on going into law enforcement? If so, I highly reccomend not enlisting as an MP. Infantry would be the way to go. I know some MP's that hated their MOS.

ARMY HOOAH!

Why do people do this??? Do you see the image you are portraying to the people? "This is the future of the US military-- someone who wants to do the bare minimum to get by."

Why don't you actually just try to do to the best you can instead?

Yours seems like a poor attitude to have.

No one should try to just squeak by, one should always try to excel in everything they attempt.
