For about 10 years I've had this painless semi firm bump on my neck, people just told me it was a swollen lymph node and nothing to worry about. This past week for the first time ever it feels very sore. Is this something I should worry about?

You should get that checked out . your lymphatic system is very important. Its part of your imune system...I would see a docter if I were you. these can become canserus!!!

Whenever you have a lump somewhere, you should get it checked out! It might be just a swollen lymph node but it could also be a cancerous lump! You shouldn't wait. See an ear, nose throat specialists, they will take liquid out of the lump to see if it might be cancerous! Don't take a chance and wait! If they catch it on time, there is treatment! Best of luck!!
