There were no churches when Jesus lived, and they don't want people to realize that for some reason the Bible says to financially support the Church. Many believe that when the King James version of the Bible was written by priests about the year 400, they added this verse for themselves. I believe it, as religion is now a $3 billion dollar a year business.

I'm guessing you're thinking of his church as something like a modern day Christian church. But since Jesus was a Jew and John the Baptist and friends were juuuust beginning to practice something that slightly resembled organized Christianity, the answer to your question is probably no...no money to the pope lol.
On that note, I'm not sure whether he gave money to the temple or not, but he did go ahead and give his life, so that pretty much works for me.

That's an interesting question and I'm not sure what you're really getting at. Before Jesus' public ministry - he worked as a carpenter so I'm thinking he probably did what his family did which was to tithe and give additional offerings. When he went into public ministry - I'm thinking he either used it in his ministry or gave it all to the church. Interesting. I don't remember the bible detailing a time when he did this - but the bible wasn't a moment to moment chronology of every act He ever did either. So, it's highly probable.

Jesus did not go to church, but He did go to the temple and synagogues the Bible remembers the time when Jesus had one of His disciples go and catch a fish that had a coin in its mouth and pay the "temple tax"

There wasn't a christian church as such, untill well after his death. However the only reference I know of that is supposedly a quote from Jesus in regards to giving money to the church would be
Render unto Ceaser what is Ceasers, and render into god what is god's.

Jesus commended the widow for giving all she had in the temple offering. He made a point of immortalizing her through mentioning her giving. He was a Jew and followed the Law, so it stands to reason that He tithed according to the Law of Moses. He was in full obedience to His Father and tithing would have been a part of that obedience.

And Jesus saith unto him, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head."
Matthew 8:20
Jesus did not own anything. He gave His life for the Church.

No, he threw the money changers and merchants out of the Temple, according to the legend. So what good did it do? Look at the shops three months before Christmas and Easter!

no... There wasn't a "church" during his lifetime.
He did, however tell an apostle to catch a fish and use the coin in the fish's mouth to pay a "tax" for the temple...
Matthew 17:26 “From others,” Peter answered.
“Then the sons don’t have to pay,” Jesus said to him. 27 “But we don’t want to make them angry. So go to the lake and throw out your fishing line. Take the first fish you catch. Open its mouth. There you will find the exact coin you need. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”
