There is a female at work who is friends with the same guys I am friends with. At first I thought her jealousy was only toward me liking my crush. But she has bumped up the stakes. Now she is trying to keep friends I have known for 17 years at bay. This heffer is only 18 y.o. herself! She over talks me whenever I open my mouth. She dominates over me and I an 42 y.o. I don't know how to deal with ppl like this. I really need your advice. Sometimes she pretends to like me and my music and then she turns against me with ugly slams! This heffer even called me Alan Jackson and I'm a female. I try to excuse it on the basis she's young...she's insecure...she's full of herself.
But tonight, she has made me so mad, I don't even want to be around my friends anymore. So technically, SHE WINS!!! I am at a loss. HELP!

She's overstepping her boundaries and you have to let her know that. From now on, it's game on. Stop making small talk with her; talk to her only when it pertains to work. Also, don't be afraid to to tell her you are not finished speaking when she tries to interrupt you or overtalk you. Let her know you have boundaries so she knows not to cross them and if she continues, it's time to talk to her boss. I've dealt with someone like this before, but since you say she's only 18, it's clear that she needs to get over herself and sometimes, it has to be done the hard way. Good luck!

Come on!.Don't loose to an eighteen year old.Just be yourself and show her that you are the most confident person on this earth.Show her that you are very strong and nothing can brake you.You do the same thing as she does to you.Be nice to her and at the same time pick on her.She can't be perfect?Mostly pick on her looks.Find something bad about her and start talking about it in generally speaking.Lets say.....if she has a big nose,say "Did you guys hear about this great plastic surgeon who has really good deals now.Specially for a nose job."If she doesn't shut up,then find something new to pick on.Don't loose your friends over her?And why do you even hang around her?You know 18........42.There is a big difference.And your friends shouldn't be listening to her nonsense.And when she starts getting smart on you next time,just tell her she is too young to know about stuff and don't let her go on with her stupid conversations.I hate people like that.

sounds like she a young fat slut. Shes still in a high school world. Go down to her level and start a rumor that she has herpes. lol.. just kidding. Tell her F you. And call her fatty. Tell her Jenny Craig is looking for her. Tell her for 18 shes a bit on the heavy side. Tell her about a gym. Point out her weakness' ask her if she's been gaining weight. Talk to her about eating healthy. Tell her 5 pounds a months really adds up in a year. You get the picture. Just talk **** back to her.

Remember what you're there for. You are working to make money. Your friends are still your friends. It sounds like she needs a lot of attention. You said it yourself "she's young and insecure" Let it slide and just do your job. Laugh with her and throw her off.

You are 42, and she is 18. Does not make sense to me. The whole situation is silly, stupid, and I am still trying to put myself in your shoes. But this situation is so way out I don't know how to answer you. Except, ignore her, and let her see that she can't press your buttons. This might make her stop.

actually you're doing "avoiding"...its a win loss situation.... she won you loss...but if you try to do the "collaboration".... its a win win situation...try talk her...ask her why she acting that way...atleast you try your best...as you said you were older than her...you must understand her... i think that girl..just having problem with her self..and need someone to talk...
