1) make yourself busy.
2) If possible, always bring some very low calorie foods along. such as carrot, celery for you to munch when you are craving for food. Can also consider chewing gum
3) Focus on your personal goal. Such as you wanna be more healthy, you wanna look slimmer or you can also think of how much calorie that are going to add to your body after you ate the food

Eat healthy and not junk food only when u r hungry and that too not more than three times a day. No Solid/Liquid in between except water. Chew each morsel of food 32 times and see the beneficial effect it has on u. U get clear message to stop further eating.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
This will enable u to achieve the ideal weight in a reasonable time. It will help u to stop craving for food.

Craving for food is a function of the type of food you eat. If you eat foods that have a high GI/GL then you feel hungry soon after eating. Eat foods with low GI/GL and you will feel more satisfied. Copy the following address and find the website. It provides a long list of foods and their known Glycemic indices:

First, try to avoid food signals. For example, try to avoid seeing food items that stimulate your cravings. Try to keep foods out of your sight, as much as possible.
Second, keep yourself busy or think of other things and activities just to keep your mind out of thoughts of wanting food.
