Leonardo da Vinci 'The Fight for the Standard '
it is described by Vasari in his Lives of the Artists........ 'displaying the the wrath and vindictivness of men and horse.....etc '
Leonardo tried to paint this design on a wall but he made the 'ground' for painting on the wall so thick that the paint ran and he had to abandon it .
