I need to find a good quality shampoo that helps with poofiness and split ends that is affordable (preferably under 5 dollars cause its ridiculous to spend more than that on one bottle of shampoo). Ideas anyone?

I couldn't agree more. I have tried all the expensive salon crap there is and the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever found is really cheap. Try Sunsilk Anti-Poof shampoo and conditioner. It costs about $8 for both, and their products are very good.

the perfect shampoo i have used as a lot as now may be the only by technique of Kerastase, it in all fairness severe priced yet i like the very undeniable truth that it doesnt lather up like commonly used shampoos. i in my opinion examine that the chemical that causes the shampoo to lather up can strip hair of its organic moisture making it more suitable dry and brittle. Kerastase is fantastic stuff! My fave lipbalm must be Mac tendertones its a balm and lipgloss in a unmarried!

the best that i have used is pantene ice shine, the shine hydrates your hair so well that it also helps with split ends. i can get it here in Hawaii for under $5 so it should be cheaper on the mainland. good luck.
