Majority of the Indians indulging in corruption. It is very difficult to transact business in Government Departments without corruption. There are lots of Indians who are honest people but still majority of the Indians indulge in corruption.

Recently one of the judges of Supreme Court stated that a few people who are most corrupt people should be hanged. Supreme Court judge further stated that the present law does not allow hanging of corrupt people. Supreme Court judge was referring to the person involved in fodder scam in Bihar state running into several hundreds of crores of rupees. No proof. Corruption is like invisible gas. Nobody knows where the money comes. Nobody knows where the money goes. The money changes hand to hands perfectly without the knowledge of even God Almighty. Even if God comes to India from heaven he will run away due to invisible corruption. Even God cannot find out majority of invisible corruptions done by visible Indians.

Dear friend,

It has been told already by international personalities and celebrities that ''CORRUPTION IS AN INTERNATIONAL PHENOMENON.''

Corruption existed from time immemorial.

Coming to the point of Corruption in India particularly, recently it has reached the peaks and we don't see any field without this corruption.

There are a few honest persons in all fields. But even for them to get any work done, this corruption stands in the way.One has to oil the hands of so many to get a simple paper to move.
To get a Birth Certificate,To get death certificate,to get a learner driving licence,to see the corpse of dear one in the mortuary,to get a seat in a school or college,to get an interview letter,to get a job etc etc in all events of human life this corruption has penetrated to such a disgusting level .

Everybody wants to do away with corruption. Can we ?

We can observe the level of corruption has gone beyond all imaginable limits after our GETTING INDEPENDENCE.

There were certain fields that were not that corrupt...for example Police,Teaching profession,Doctors, the lower level staff in most institutions etc .
But gradually this demon entered and is now OMNIPRESENT.

What is the reason for the spread of the corruption like an epidemic.?
We are seing people aspiring for easy money, and a seat of power to achieve this.Muscle power entered and this power is protecting the corrupt ones. The honest are unable to do any thing ,in these circumstances.
The doctors with their private nursing homes ,built with millions of rupees, want to get back the investment of building and equipment in the nursing home as early as possible throgh patients.
A patient that comes with a complaint of leg pain, is made to get MRI of spine,Skull and all the available blood and urine tests available in the nursing home.
Similarly all fields.

Whom do you propose to hang?

There should be reformation from top level and and a deterrent punishing system for the erring people.
The educational syllabi shold be reformed and the TEACHERS shall be so selected on merit basis.Unless the teacher is exemplary ,the student can not be an exempleray or atleast good.
The reforms shall start at home aswell. The parents or elders shall teach the morals in life. That which is learnt at childhood remains permanent..So whatever that is good should be put into children's minds.
Giving bribe is equally wrong as taking bribe. So all should know it stop bribing to the extent possible.Slowly the scene changes.Thats all.
By hanging one or two or four you can't achieve anything in this eradication of Corruption.
Let us pray and Hopr God takes another incarnation, for this purpose .

The system allows corruption. Hanging couple of people will not do anything, someone else will take their place and in time they will either become corrupt or be removed form their position.

Fix the system an you will fix the people.

Take U.S. for example, we may criticize United States all day long, but what really makes U.S. work is its self correcting system. For example the issue of Iraq and the war, initially majority of people supported the president and his goal, as of right now the Republican Party is slowly loosing its power. In ten months Republicans may completely relinquish their power over.

If you take all the developed countries that have very little corruption you will see one thing in common – a very well designed system.

No. Charity begins at home. first correct yourself. stop giving bribes.Be courageous. Don't think the end justifies the end. If you use wrong means, then you too are corrupt.
Family members are to be blamed too. They should not be blinded by materialistic things.Learn to say No. Don't be in a hurry to get a car, house, fridge etc etc. remember the 'hare and the tortoise' fable. ultimately the tortoise won.
The society is to be blamed too. don't be fascinated by nouveau rich. find out their source of income. shun them, if they are corrupt. Admire, simple living and high thinking.
Remember , Father of the Nation' Mahatma Gandhi, who gave up everything and encouraged Khadi. Remember Gautam Budha, who gave up his kingdom. Remember Mahavira, India is full of great men. follow their teachings.
In the greek myhtology, the ace runner loses the race because she stoops down to pick up three gold lemons on the race track.

I agree with most of the answers here that corrupt should not be hanged. Tell me is it as serious crime as killing someone? Though I believe that repercussions of corruption can kill someone, they shouldn't be hanged. Its very difficult to describe 'corruption'. What means corruption for one means 'great help' for others. If we want strict enforcement of law, there should also be an environment for strict observance of laws.Eg A watchman who has many dreams for his children, cant afford tall values from his meagre income. He is left alone with his misfortune. We cant burp our way through food and sit and talk 'corruption'. Yes, corruption is a serious problem, but its reversible. Crimes like rape, murder etc are irreversible. Hence capital punishment is meted out to them.
There are ways in dealing with corruption. Keep a constant check on their performance. Ask people to covertly expose names of corrupt officials. Award performers with higher salaries and benefits. If you are talking about Government Department people, think how many Government officers are respected when they enforce law? How many Government officers can dare challenge 'rich and famous' inappropriate behaviour? How many of them earn enough to send their children abroad to take education? How many of them are encouraged to bring more workable ideas to deal with corruption? Mistrust you sow, mistrust you reap!

No actually they should not be hanged. They should be taught a lesson in such a way that , it is a lesson for others who are involved in such activities. Actually no body is born for doing such things, situations make them do these things. They should be punished

refer to report of One Judge of supreme court of india remarking about Politicians that they need to be PUBLICLY HANGED.

THIS IS NOT THE REMEDY, ONLY FEAR LIKE THIS , IN ARAB COUNTRIES MAKE PEOPLE CAREFUL.
WE DO NOT WANT TO END UP AS A FEUDAL SOCIETY.

THE RIGHT COURSE IS TO EDUCATE THE SOCIETY of this MENANCE and narrow the GAP of RICH and Poor.
