Bank Reconciliation Statement is a statement prepared for reconciling the timing differences which arise between the Bank Book and the bank Statement. As there is always a time difference for the transaction to take effect for the cheques to be honoured. The transactions are entered at the same time the cheque is issued or collected but it is deposited after a lapse of some time and get cleared after some days.
