The bill of sale and also the title make sure the person signs the back of the title and also get some kind of written document that states that both parties agreed to this sale. Plus make sure that there is no lein on this vehicle before purchasing it.Unless you have some kind of agreement to take over the payments.

bill of and title is a must. if you can try to see if they have a maintenance log done on the car. If not, ask for any recent oil change or other maintenance invoice so you can make sure you are getting a well taken care car.
