I'm going to go pretty soon and check them out, I love the way they look, but can they perform? Any feedback will do.

I have loved both my magnum's. My first Magnum was a 05 RT AWD with the 5.7L MDS and this car did have show and followed with the the GO! The car was very reliable if you can still find a 05 model be aware that it issues such as pull to the right (factory recall) as well as the self sealing contintential tires (recall or replaced) the best part of the 05 was the factory warranty of 7 years/100,000 warranty!

If you are seriously looking a Magnum and want some performance don't bother test driving a SE or SXT! Head straight for the R/T and you want a BADAZZ Wagon head for a SRT8! The R/T I had performanced really well and not many cars could keep up with me especially have the AWD I would catch some cars and even trucks off guard!

I never had an issue while I owned my AWD RT magnum (just over a year). My mistake happened when I saw a shiny red Magnum SRT8 sitting at my local dealership while I waited for a oil change. I asked my sales person that sold me my AWD Magnum if I could have a test drive. He warned me I would be taking this home if I did. Well, he was right they gave me a smoking deal for trade-in and a great price on the SRT8!

The 6.1L hemi has NUTS....the upgrades in seats & leather, the performance suspension, brembo brakes and the 20 inch SRT wheels and did I mention that HEMI! This car looks badaZZ and it badazz under the hood! I did sacrafice AWD and but not much in MPG (maybe 2 to 3MPG lower) than my RT version but I gained more performance!

Magnum RT AWD - City 15-16 MPG HWY - 21 to 24 MPG
SRT 8 Magnum - City 14-15MPG HWY-20-23 MPG

The issues I have had with the SRT8 magnum was my front brake pads were squeeling bad and leaving tonnes of brake dust on my rims. Dodge replaced these under a factory recall. Also, my pet peeve and I only have one with this car is the front lower valiance sits really low and you have to be careful when you pull into a parking stall with the curb or the parking cement block......you will crack your lower valiance and basically need to replace your bumper (Several SRT8 owners I have talked to have replaced there bumper once because of this).

The seats in the LX platform (300, Charger, Magnum's) have lots of room for people over 6'0 tall!

The 2008 Models have under gone some changes (the SRT8 version comes with ram air hood and changed headlights and front valiance. The RT version has different headlights, new hood style and offers HID lights. If you want to learn more about the magnum head to the links below!

I love the magnum. all this chevy vs. dodge crap is bull. It really depends on what you want. the magnum will have more room for your stuff because it is a hatchback/wagon. If you get the top of the line magnum the answer is HECK YES IT PERFORMS. But thst the top of the line and you will be paying extra. Also in this category of cars is the chevy camaro(coming soon, like late 07), dodge charger, and i also like the pontiac GTO (I've seen one do a burnout out of a jack in the box and it looking pretty snazzy) So answer the question for yourself. What do you want in the car? and what will it be used for.

Hope that helps

Ask your self a few questions first? Can I afford one? that means pay cash. Gasoline is going back to $3.00 a gal. and this car will be doing good to get about 15mpg around town. Are you under 25 years of age? The cost of insurance is unbelievable for underage driver of this car. You are going to do it anyways so here is some advice. DO NOT LEASE, A
$30,000 car on a lease will end up costing close to $45,000 not a real smart move.

They can perform. I like the new Avenger much more than the Magnum. You should see the Avenger, they're getting them in showrooms now.
