I would not call that strange at all, as I am a 19 year old with a few 22-23 year old friends (one being my brother). If your interests are the same and you get along, then I don't see anything wrong with it.

If you are in the same job or collage classes not such a big deal.
If the 22 and a 16 I would say there could be a problem and should be looked at. if hanging out constantly
But just friends no big deal

3 years is not a big deal. I'm 33 and I have a friend who is 87 and is very good at chess.
