Not if you wear a stud. If you put in a ring it will probably prove a little difficult.

Depends how badly you want to play the sax. A piercing is bound to cause some discomfort so make the choice.

i have lip piercing s, one on the top in the middle and one on the bottom middle, i recently tried to play a sax and couldnt, i have labret studs in both and the bottom one left me unable to play, having 1 viper piercing (bottom lip to one side) should enable you to continue playing but inevitably you will place your mouth piece slightly more to one side than the other, look at yourself play and you will see, get the other side done, a ring may hinder you whilst you play, so for those times have a labret stud in, dont leave it out, they have a quick healing over period, so-you should be able to have your piercing, AND continue to play, good luck, i hope this helps

my friend alex plays trumpet and got his lip pierced and it didnt really affect it, but since you play an instrument that goes inside of your mouth, it may be very painful until it heals, which is usually at least a few weeks, and being a fellow band nerd, you cant go without playing for that long. go with an eyebrow piercing or something instead

Depending on the positioning and the type of jewelry you wear it might just be uncomfortable or take some getting used to. I don't think it will be impossible to play though
If you are worried its going to be an issue, don't get it done, or if you do get it done, try different types of jewelry to see what's most comfortable. Of course, once its healed, you could just take the jewelry out when you play. Good luck.

It depends on the positioning of the piercing. My friend used to play the clarinet and she pierced hers to the side a bit.

It really depends on the placement. If you get a labret, or a verticle labret, you'll probably have a hard time. But if you get one on the side (Like mine is) you'll just have to adjust yourself to the piercing. The first few times will be a little akward, but you'll get it.

you can try to test it out by getting a captive bead ring. remove the ball and slip it over your lip to sort of "fake" having a lip ring to see if it is uncomfortable or difficult to play. obviously it won't be exactly the same, but if it's bad with the fake one you can imagine it would be worse with a real one.

It may hurt the first few times.
also one time my friend who played the sax hurt his lip really bad so he couldn't play.
I'm familiar with piecing, but can't you take it out when you play.

cello, violin, double bass, tympanum, probably ok. Don't try for a picollo, flute or oboe until you have mastered the breathing
