i just noiced it a couple weeks ago, he is my first baby and i didnt know he couldent have bottles till it was to late. now that im finally able to get him an appointment his teeth have gotton worse. i waas just wondering if any of you have had this kind of issue and what a dentist did for you and how your child handled it any info about this topic would really help. thank you all.

hmm..thats intresting i didnt know your teeth can rot from being fed bottles?! you learn something new everyday! =)

Well the dentist will have to decide what to do. Could be simple like fillings or extreme like pulling the teeth. They don't want to wreck the adult teeth before they have a chance..now you know not to let your child go to sleep with a bottle in his mouth...same with letting them sleep while breastfeeding. They have toothpaste for toddlers with no flouride in it so he can start brushing his teeth as well. Oral B makes it.

That's too bad; I"m sure you won't repeat the mistake with your next child. I don't know if they do fillings on such small children, they may just pull the teeth. Not condemning you, but I am suprised no one informed you not to put a baby to bed with a bottle. I thought it was common knowlege these days.

my Friend had this problem and her sons teeth had to be pulled for fear that the decay would move onto developing teeth. I am not sure if this is the only solution... make sure you get a dentist that does pediatrics.
