The 18 roses for your debut represents your age now that you are having your debut. It could not be called debut when you are under 18 years old or over 18

I believe that debut stands for debutante ( I think that's how to spell it!) which is when you are coming of a certain age.
The term 18 roses for debut would simply mean a bouquet of 18 roses to be given to someone who has turned 18. It would NOT be given to someone older or younger than 18.
