tell him .. things will get better if he trust u and relies on u .. let him know that u will always be in his corner and committed .. and it will tear u up inside to have to hear him talk like that cause he meant so much to u .. let him know that life is precious and there a reason why he 's alive .. .. that he's not alone .. that he's lucky to have someone that care about him .. that's important ... doesnt matter what other think or say .. all that matter is that he's happy in ur presence .. and that something to live for and look foward to each day.. in hope that he believe that there a better day ahead .. cause there always a way and if he put his trust in him above .. he will make a way .. all he have to do is let the pain go .. and if he felt like he need to weep .. it ok to weep .. it better to let go than to keep it bottle up inside...he'll feel better ..( let me know how it turn out )

if you encourage him and it doesn't seem to help he may need to seek treatment for depression.

my husband has been depressed for as long as i've known him. before we were married, within a couple of months after he moved out of his parents there was a change in him. it was better but he still has his bouts of depression. hes taken meds but they cause side effects that do more harm to the marriage. i try to encourage him still but when hes in that state it doesn't help. he used to be a cutter as well but i couldn't stand that and finally cracked and yelled at him and told him i would leave if that continued. but i'm commited to him and know that depression won't just up and be gone in the snap of a finger.

the best you can probably do for him is ask him to seek treatment or atleast ask him to talk to a medical professional.

you cant make someone feel less depressed. find out what are his triggers to send him into an episode. then figure out how you cna help him thru them. my b/f is depressed and after 4 1/2 years he finally got help. took a long time and alot of denial.
if he makes idle threats like that it sounds like he's looking for some attention and validation of your love.

First, realize that this is not something you can fix. It's Just not in your power. I'd encourage him to get counseling. I know this is not easy. I hope you have support. Don't keep this a secret from your family or his. It's not like you have to go sharing your and his personal problems, but maybe his family can help. I just hope you have someone you can tak to about it. I think counseling is key.

Tell him . money don't buy love .: go find that woman you can grow with then everything will fall into place. Success is only a frame of mind . Success is a happy heart and a giving soul

If he's in high school, he should grow out of it.

If he's a grown man, he needs to shut up, go to work and shave like everybody else.

Don't buy into that hogwash and maybe he'll knock it off.
