For about two weeks, I've noticed that I get sick after eating - usually, if I eat anything heavy. The nausea occurs a half hour after eating, and usually lasts for that long. I don't vomit, though, even if I try. I have no prior health problems, and this happens randomly (but I notice it happens more in the evening). Before, I used to be able to eat ANYTHING, and in huge amounts. I'm 17, and my mom is the type who won't take me to the doctor unless I'm practically vomiting blood or unconscious. Any possibilities of what it could be? I'd think food poisoning, but I'm perfectly fine unless I eat (and even if I eat non-junky food, I'm usually ok).

Here is what I remember getting nauseous from:

* A McDonald's Fish Filet thing
* A homemade tortilla-eggplant-homemade tomato sauce "pizza"
* Broccoli & Cauliflower dipped in tomato/pepper/eggplant dip.
* Hot Cheetos

Think I better mention this: I am *NOT* pregnant. I'm a virgin, never beyond kissing.

All the foods you describe sound like they have a high fat content. If you are having some level of dysfunction of your gallbladder (the gallbladder secretes bile to assist in the digestion of fats in the meal) that could cause the symptoms you describe. Food poisoning is very unlikely.
Only a thorough medical evaluation can determine if your gallbladder is a problem. Other possibilities include a gastric ulcer, acid reflux, and/or a hiatal hernia. Lastly, it is possible you are developing some type of food intolerance.

Best wishes and good luck.

The same thing happened to me...Actually, the first time I noticed was after eating McDonald's too. You need to eat less oily/fatty foods, which helped me, but I also went to the doctor, who prescribed me some sort of medicine that keeps my nausea from getting too bad after eating. I also noticed that I was getting sicker in the evenings than any other meal, so I eat a little more at lunch and a little less at dinner now.

Hope I helped. =)

I went through this thing my freshman year of college where anytime i ate i was nauseated. it turned out to be the drastic change in diet. my body just wasn't used to eating that much garlic :). have you changed your diet recently? the foods you mentioned have a lot of tomato sauce and fat. it could be the grease or acid that is aggrivating your stomach. it could also be something more serious, but two weeks isn't really enough time to determine an ongoing problem. keep careful track of when you are nauseated and what food you have eaten. if it doesn't improve maybe you could go see a doctor and then you will have a detailed account. don't worry, it isn't food poisoning or you would be violently ill :)

Could be GERD or could be problems with your gallbladder, I really couldnt say exactly based on your description. But I'm sure its either of the 2, but most likely GERD.

i think your mom should take you to the doctor because it could be several things.
It could be a ucler if you are stressing out allot.
It could be a gallbladder giving out on you. I would get checked out to make sure it nothing more serious.

Ok..listen to me carefully...you are OVER EATING! and your body is filled to the top and so ur body wants to expell it. So like a water balloon (ie ur stomach) and if u fill it with water, and continue to fill it...it wants to burst and so u feel like vomitting because your body is not digesting fast enough for you to make space for the rest food. So my suggestion is to half of what ur are eating and see if it reduces the nausea.

Note throughout your question you state you are eating heavy, and able to eat in huge amounts...obviously over eating.

I recommend you eat smaller meals, more easy to digest carbs and then some lean meats in small sizes and see if that helps. Drink lots of water too. Also don't eat to too fast, eat at a medium pace, chew all your food and see if you feel full after about 10 mins of eating at this pace.
