I don't think Heaven could be Heaven for us without animals, especially our pets!

Yes there is a special place in heaven for our departed animals. They are just as much God's children as we are. There is also a website called petloss.com. I put the link to it at the bottom of this page. I know how you are feeling right now as I have lost pets my self. It is a very hard thing to get through too. Keep Titus in your heart and mind. Know that he is in a better place and will be waiting for you. I feel so bad for you and hope this advice helps you out a bit. Grieve for as long as it takes you too. Don't let anyone tell you that you will get over it soon. It takes time, some more than others. I hope this helps you get through your loss of Titus. Take care....

I have had many years experience with animals. I grew up with animals and worked in an animal hospital for 10 years, as a kennel manager. I also worked in at a humane society for 5 years. I have many happy memories and many not so happy memories. I try to advise people on the care of their animals. I don't tell people what to do, I just suggest to them and give them some new ideas.

IF dogs have a heaven, Titus has a wonderful home. If they don't, I'm sure he had a wonderful life. (hugs) If your dog lived and died with dignity then what more could any pet ask. There does not have to be a doggie heaven but Titus can live forever in your mind and if you write a little story of his life for you and your children someday to share. What could a little child love more than a "when grandpa and titus were young" story. God Bless!

I was sorry to hear about Titus' death. If you don't mind, I'd like to share a quote that's gotten me through similar situations:

"We cannot feel sad over the loss of those we love without first realizing that the real and true sadness would have been never having them in our lives at all."

To answer your question about pets in Heaven, I'd have to say yes, definitely. Think about how happy Titus made you on Earth. Wouldn't that naturally mean that in a place as wonderful as Heaven he'd have to be there to make it that much better?

I'll say a prayer tonight for your comfort, and I'll smooch my pooch in Titus' honor.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

In my heart I would hope so, well if there is such a thing as an afterlife. Mycat diesd a few yrs ago and he was also my BF. I used to have 6 cats and all I have left now is the one with me and after he dies(which might be soon, he is very old) all I can hope is that all my cats will be re-united once again.

I am very sorry for your loss

May I go now
Don't you think the time is right?
May I say good-bye to pain-filled days
and endless lonely nights?
I've lived my life and done my best,
an example tried to be,
So can I take that step beyond
and set my spirit free?
I didn't want to go at first.
I fought with all my might!
But something seems to draw me now
to a warm and loving light.
I want to go! I really do!
It's difficult to stay.
But I will try as best I can
to live just one more day .
To give you time to care for me
and share your love and fears.
I know you're sad and are afraid
because I see your tears.
I'll not be far, I promise that,
and hope you'll always know
that my spirit will be close to you
wherever you may go.
Thank you so for loving me.
You know I loved you too.
That's why it's hard to say good-bye
and end this life with you.
So hold me now, just one more time,
and let me hear you say,
because you care so much for me,
you'll let me go today.

absolutely!!! ever seen the movie "all dogs go to heaven"? with charlie the german shepard.... well, although that was a fictional cartoon, its true... all dogs are esentially good and without sin. dogs only are mean when their treatment by humans teaches them to be so... in which case is not the dogs fault... so, all dogs are good and hang out on the fluffy clouds above wih our human ancesters to keep both them and us company forever... i am so sorry this has happened... i am very empathetic as i have had several pets die, even a 4 month old puppy i had gotten for my 15th bday several years ago... my thoughts are with you!

I offer you my heartfelt condolences.
Believe that there is a place that your friend goes and when you leave this world he will be waiting for you with tail wagging and full of excitement.
Please go to the website Rainbow Bridge.com and there is a description of just such a place. There is support there as well and you can post a tribute to your friend.
Remember, he may not be here with you physically but he will always be with you in your heart and in your memory.

If my cats and dogs and rats etc. aren't in heaven when I get there, I'll turn around and leave.

I had two wonderful GSD's and I still miss them even though they passed on years ago. I lost my three-legged kitty Spot last April and I miss her so bad...I planted flowers on her grave...

Someone just tonight told me that they believed that animals die so young because then you can take care of another one, so that there is time for more of them to share your heart. I thought that was beautiful and thought I'd pass it on.

So, so sorry for your loss. I'll hug my pups extra long for you.
