my roommate and i have been sleeping with only each other for 1 1/2 years now but he won't addmit to being my boyfriend and he's never kissed me and won't lay down to sleep with me so why doesn't he kiss me?

I don't think you want to hear this.
He doesn't kiss you because he doesn't think of you as a girlfriend but rather an easy way to get sex when he needs it. (or wants it) and you've been letting him have it for 1 1/2 years.
I'm thinking it shouldn't have taken you this long to figure it out.

Because he is only using you for the sex
Most probably no one knows about you because he is only keeping you on the side line for his own pleasure

while sex can be just a physical thing, kissing often has more feelings involved. maybe he won't kiss you or lie with you because there are emotions involved and he sees your relationship as a purely physical thing...?

Sounds like he considers you a "friend with benefits" meaning your good enough to have sex with but he has no interest in a relationship with you. He is using you.
