LG's can sometimes be a bit of a hit and miss kind of product, however it is more then likely the inbuilt tuner. if the antenna you have is not digital you will have problems receiving digital TV. what happens is when the signal becomes too low the digital tuner will struggle to decode the signal in time to display it and you will have either it locking up or breaking up, flicker.

Test it with a DVD or something else, if still has the flicker, call LG, if with the DVD it does not flicker call antenna man

One thing that the other failed to mention is that it maybe a power problem as well. Plasmas are much more touchy when it comes to power flickers or mini dips. We also tend to called it unclean power. I would try the other option listed in the other answers but I bet it comes back to unclean power. If your having power dips in your area I would recommend a power cleaner such as monster power or some other brand. This will also extend the life of your TV as well. I hope this helps.

LG 42" plasma. It can be the TV or it can be the source signal, cable etc. You can call service guy to check this out.

When I do the service I usually check from various source like from DVD, cable etc if it all has the same problem than it's the TV. Next thing to do is to see the circuit usually all video and audio signal go to AV selector IC.

IF IT'S BRAND NEW, I'D EXCHANGE IT FOR THE SAME OR A DIFFERENT MODEL. THE LAST THING YOU NEED IS TO HAVE YOUR NEW TV IN THE SHOP. KEEP IN MIND, ONLY THE FACTORY CAN BUILD IT TO SPEC.
THINK ABOUT IT, HAVE YOU EVER HAD ANYTHING REPAIRED THAT WORKED LIKE IT DID WHEN IT WAS NEW (PROVIDED IT WORKED IN THE FIRST PLACE)?
