In the short run a padded record looks good on paper. Eventually everyone must step up their level of competition. In order to make any real money or gain any serious recognition you have to fight live opponets not tomato cans. So the blogbaba has to say it detracts near the end of a career, but is the norm early on with green fighters.

i believe it depends on the type of boxer/slugger type you are. If you are a slugger, as long as you knock out guys, it is ok to sidestep and most of the public will look at you as someone others sidestep and don't want to fight. You can hide behind that pretty easily. If you are a boxer and not exciting, that type of style can hurt you when you sidestep guys.

Payday wise, I think it does hurt you for your first mega fight becuase you have not been tested or you have not fought anyone. If you do well, then you can call the shots and sidestep opponents again while the champ.
