I am so sorry to hear about your dog. Just take it one day at a time and remember what a good dog she was. Cry if you need too, talking to a friend or family member would help too. Keep your mind busy, find things to do. Spend time away from your house for a while. Think about getting another dog some day, but, only when you think the moment is right. And only if you think you would want another dog. Keep fond memories of Sam in your heart and mind. Your heart will mend, in time. I hope you will be okay and I am real sorry to hear about Sam. I love Boxers, they are so beautiful.

I am so sorry that Sam died today. What a miserable feeling. I have a dog Bella and I don't know what I'll do when she passes away.I grew up with 5 dogs, all who passed away many years ago.

It's pretty much like mourning a little member of the family. You have to give yourself time. Grieve over the loss of your baby, it's okay. Soon you'll be able to remember the good times together though, and you will be able to enjoy another pet one day, although I am sure it seems implausible now. Just know that we are all here for you!

I am very sorry, I know how you must be feeling. It's a terrible
thing to go through. For a few weeks you will feel upset and
I can tell you that the memories of your pet won't leave you,
but it is never easy to accept their death. I don't like
suggesting that you buy another pet right away, but when
your ready, you may want to consider that. They bring lots
of joy and love to our lives, and even though they can't
replace the other dog, it may be just what you need.

There are so many routines that people have with their pets
and when they are gone, they are terrible memories for us
for awhile. Give yourself the time you need to grieve, and
there are many dogs without homes who would love to be
be adopted into a home with someone who really cares.

I think any dog lover shares your grief in loosing a pet. But we have to be a little practical about it too. A boxer is a medium size dog. I have always used one of three options when I lost one of my pets. One is to bury him in the back yard under a favorite tree or bush. The second is to find a good pet cemetery - but they can be a bit expensive. The third is to ask your vet to have him cremated.

If anyone ever does a dig in my back yard 300 years from now they will find about 10 dogs, 5 rabbits, 2 guine pigs, 4 hamsters, assorted gold fish, an no telling what other of God's creatures they will find. All 10 of the dogs has his/her own brass plate on the old pecan tree under which they are buried.

I am so very sorry to hear about sam. It is hard to lose a pet that you ahve had for a long time. They are part of the family. I am very sorry again. It is never easy. Just take it a day at a time. Remember all the wonderful times that you two had together. I know that you will miss her so. I lost mylab a few months ago, and I still think about her every day. I am so sorry.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's very hard to lose a pet, many people say they cry more losing their pets than losing their parents.
I have lost a few pets in the last several years and can tell you from experience that it gets easier. Try to focus on how good your life together was and how much richer you each made each others lives. Give yourself some time to be sad, and be sure to stay in touch with friends and family who understand what has happened and how you feel. Try to surround yourself with friends (and possibly pets) who will be supportive of your grieving process and the healing that follows.
I'm sure Sam was a very special friend and you have lots of loving memories of her.
Best wishes.

I'm sorry about Sam. If you don't want to bury Sam in your yard then call your Vet and arrange for a cremation.
I'm also sorry that some people feel the need to make a joke over your lose. Ignore them.

www.petloss.com
has a wonderful compilation of material that can comfort you with the loss of your pet. It will not bring back you dog, but you can know there are others out there that know the pain you are going through. It is not easy. I am very sorry for your loss.
As to what to do? Cry--mourn the loss. Your dog was a very special part of your life. There are vets who will cremate your pet and give you the ashes in a special box for you to keep. If you would rather do that than bury Sam, ask your vet.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I know it's hard to handle and reaching out to other people who have experienced the same things helps.
Eventually, getting another pet would be good,I'm sure your beloved Sam would want you to so she'd know there was someone to take care of you now that she's gone to the Rainbow bridge.

I've included an url here to the story of the Rainbow bridge and the pet loss help site it comes from. I hope it helps in some small way...
